Natzini - its nice to know there are still some nice genuine people out there. Ur lucky they called you. Was it Lush's mistake for putting the in-correct address on, or just the ignorance of the delivery company, leaving it at the wrong house!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0

Morning everyone!
Hope my Monday morning blues fade soon.
Belated congrats to Lillibet. Hope you not feeling rough this morning after celebrating your birthday yesterday.
Anyway, I'm not planning on stopping on here long. I have a four year to entertain. We'll be playing 'Let's do jobs' in a bit - think the enthusiasm of Big Cook Little Cook but applied to tidying and cleaning!!! Doesn't always work though!
Hopefully will catch up on here later. xx0 -
Morning all
Seems like hugs all round are the call of the day. Gingin, so sorry to hear about your grandad, give your grandma a big hug from me.
Well it's all relativly back to normal here - I'm still feeling low with this flu and spent yesterday in agony with cystitis. DH has gone back to work, not sure he's completely up to it but he has a client lunch today that he can't miss.
OS wise, I'm just going to potter today - I do 10 mins of pottering and then need to sit for an hour. Just dusted the bookshelf and watered the plants and sprayed some goo around the bathroom, will go in and wipe it all down in a bit. Need to clean out the parrot too so will have to push the hoover round as it gets very dust once he's had a good flap around on the top of his cage.
Bubble and squeak-ish style dinner tonight with last nights mash and veg left overs and some pork chops, might even make an apple and blackberry crumble to go with it.
Hope you all have a fantastic day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Thanks everyone, you're all fab
.
Pooky, I used to regularly get cystitis and used to drink water mixed with 1 good tsp bicarb of soda, it alleviated the symptoms for a few hours.0 -
((((((((((((((gingin)))))))))))))) Sorry to hear your news
Meeting with first school over and done with. That teacher really appears not to like me much either! If what she says is true then DD is being disruptive in class and has been so for the last week. DH has just come home from work and we have discussed it and both come to the same conclusion, that DD is bored. She's exactly the same at home, when she's bored she goes into her own little world and just starts singing and dancing to amuse herself. I do appreciate that she has to behave herself in class and I will speak to her about it tonight but I think we do need to have a meeting with the school properly.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Hi everybody :hello:
((((Hugs)))) to you gingin. My grandpa died 5 years ago after 60 years' marriage to my grandma, and she was basically fine without him after a while (with a strong supportive family network around her) until she died two months ago. After he had died, a poem came to light that he had written for my grandma a few years before, expressing his gratitude for her lifelong love and devotion. It is too personal to post on here but I might PM it to you sometime.
Big ((((hugs)))) also to CCStar and kyle and all others suffering the effects of useless menfolk
Busy at work this morning - I am on a training course from lunchtime today until the end of the week, so I have to get various things finished off this morning. Then next week and the week after I am on jury service (Quasar, I didn't know they did that - telling you 2 days in advance that you're no longer required. I sure as heck hope it doesn't happen to me as I am planning a few short trips away later in the spring and just want to get the jury service out of the way!)
My sore throat seems to have returned, which is a pain in the, um, throat (sorry) cos I wanted to get back to doing regular singing practice this week, and have a lesson
MushyPeas, the thread about the London mini meet was mine, so you should be able to dig it out by going to my profile and searching for threads started by me. The lunchtime meet you mentioned was earlier the same week and it's Penelope Penguin or Shez who can tell you more about that one.
Right, must be off, will probably pop back this evening

moggins - ive had similar probs with DS at school, went throught to year 4 getting top marks etc, then all of a sudden hes become 'disruptive', basically just talking when he shouldnt be, and making silly noises (a group of 8 boys out of 30 children in his class - they all bounce off each other) I tried to support the school, as his work started to suffer, but nothing changed. DS then admitted that he was bored, told the teacher and i was told 'its impossible to be bored in year 4, in this class we do a wide range of work that covers everything, we cannot change lessons to only do things that DS likes to do'. Ok, you cant change lessons, i agree, but give the child something to do!!!! If he is disrupting your lesson, is telling you he is bored help him, it will help you as well!!!!
This year, he still can get a bit chatty, but (apparently) he is doing much better - because he is older, but also because he is given harder work to suit his ability.
I hope you and your OH can sort this out soon xx0 -
Good morning everyone, hope all the ill ones will be feeling better soon.
((((hugs)))) gingin, such a sad time for you all, but together you'll get through it.
Haven't done much so far today. Was up early to go to the gym, first time this year because I've been ill! It was hard, but boy do I need it! I needed to up my workrate before Christmas, but now after all those goodies, it's doubly needed:o
When I got back had a phone call from a friend, so that used up another half hour! Then a parcel was delivered, so of course, had to give that a thorough inspection. And I've had to come on here to check up on you lot, and you all know how that eats time:rotfl:
But I will do something today! My plans are to organise and clean the kitchen. I want to turn out all the cupboards and rearrange the contents. I've realised recently that I've stuck with the same arrangement for years just because " that's the way I have them" Lately I've come to see that some things would be better grouped differently, and there's no law that states ALL tins must be in the same cupboard:o My china too is just how I've always had it, but a lot of heavy stuff is quite high when logic dictates it would be better lower down:D Well I'm waffling now, and I'd really be better actually doing it. Bet you're all jealous of my exciting plans:rotfl: :rotfl:
Hope you have fun days
Take care CMxxxYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0
