    Morning all

Huggles to CCstar and Kyle. Men can be complete twonks sometimes. I hope you have better days today.

I am getting stressed out about meeting with DS's assistant head today, DH normally comes with me as he used to be a teacher and knows all the right buzz words to make them listen but he has a dentist's appointment 30 minutes before our appointment with the school so he's not going to be able to make it. So my IBS has kicked in again with the stress.

Never mind, just today to get through and nothing else stressful for the rest of the week. Got my appointment with the plastic surgeon next week and the meeting with the planning inspectorate as well to object about next doors planning application. The week from hell is approaching quickly :(

Hugs to all that need them today. Remember, you will get support from here, no matter what the problem is.

I am full of a cold but being self employed have no chance of taking a day off!

DD is in bed for the day having got a temperature of 100 - I think she is just exhausted so a day away from school for her and lots of comfort soup I think.

DS broke his thumb skiing yesterday - it is a bit like a trophy to him, all black and swollen so I am sure he will take the strapping off at school to show his friends and teachers at every opportunity!!

My jobs today include, to get on top of the washing,
to meal plan (I love this - my grocery shopping has been SO LOW this month due to store cupboards and freezer usage!)
To hoover round (but not until DD is awake, so may be some time!)
To have as much coffee as I need!!

Have a good day everyone, and here's to a successful OS week!

Morning all, HUGE ((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))) to CCstar and kyle. Hope hospital goes as well as these things can go PP. DH off to school, cats fed, watered and 8 litter trays emptied, washed and refilled. Am very tired today didn't sleep very well no problem just one of those nights when you keep waking up and the sleep is very shallow. Got really mad this morning and have thrown 5 empty cig packets back over the fence. Can't wait to get this house fit for habitation(!!) and then get it on the market. Had a really funny moment in mr T's on Sat-didn't have enough cash when I got the checkout despite having done a running total(obviously didn't do a good enough job). We knew that there was almost certainly going to be problems with DH's wages(as he has gone from doing a supply cover to the actual maternity cover on a contract) the LEA have been great and will pay before the 15th Feb (EEK) anyway went for an emergency shop, ended up having to put the papers, grapes(value!),value mineral water and was STILL 2p short!!!!(thank goodness it was VERY quiet) so I gave back my botle of flavoured M.W. This meant that I could afford the value mineral water.By this time despite being very embarrased & having VERY red ears(they are HUGE) I was killing myself laughing and started to sing "I've got my mineral water back"!!!! (mad as a hatter) Its funny what a diffrence a year makes as in the past I would have just shoved everything on some plastic AND my top up or energency shop would have been MUCH more lavish................I think it didn't bother me that much (although I WAS embarrassed at the time) as it was quiet, I know that there WILL be money going in soon,we have loads of stuff in to eat, I bought loads of veg etc(only went to Mr T's as I had £14.50 worth of clubcaard vouchers to use) and to be honest it doesn't make it into the top 20 of things I wished hadn't happened in hte last few years!!!! I f thats the worst that is going to happen to us then bring it on! Hope you are all well warm and happy. Today I am going to get some "stuff" done. I did LOADS of handwashing yesterday(WM broken but kitchen floor so bad can't get it mended!) so feel virtious(although not your leagues!) Cats all well, I want to come back as a cat in fact.Rupert our handicapped Norwegian Forest cat went to bed at 11.35 yesterday morning, wouldn't come down for his tea at 6.00 last night(he had it in bed!)slept all through the night and left the bedroom at 6.10 this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He has ben tearing arround the garden this morning. Aussielass make the most of the nice weather and pack something warm! Good luck with your plumber and move am thinking of you.Hugs and best wishes to all that want or need them. Have a good day, stay warm and if you are ever in Mr T's and you see a strange woman with bright red ears singing at the checkout Say HI TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! gingin my love and prayers are with you.

    Morning everyone :)

Haven't been around for a few days. Had a few days of thinking as on friday my very special Grandad passed away, I do feel like he was let down by the NHS in his last few weeks and it has made me very angry. I was soooooo lucky to have him in my life and it was his time to go but it is so heartbreaking because my Grandma has been with him for 72 years since she was 14 (she used to have to take her 3 older sisters on dates with him lol!) and is now on her own for the first time in her life. So all the family have pulled together and everyone is drained and exhausted. Sorry for wittering on, had no one else apart from OH to talk about it to although he has been amazing.

Not much OS here really. I have been cooking and Mr t's is calling. OH and I have invested a little money and a lot of time in a very new venture and I can't believe we have done it as we have very little spare time to do it but it will hopefully cover some voids when OH is out of work but is up to me to manage in the meantime. I already run a very small scale Ebay business from home but I am not quite sure how to divide my time between the 2 and the kids but will give it a go. I am feeling a bit daunted by it all at the moment and perhaps it is happening at the wrong time. Wittering on again....

I have done a little lurking over the last few days. Happy birthdays to Kaz and Lillibet. DLB, I read your story what lucky kiddies you have, you sound like a very strong woman and they are so lucky to have you :). What's the latest update on the fence???

Have a lovely day everyone and thanks for listening :)

    Morning all!

ccstar and kyle (((hugs))) to you both and I hope you have better days today xxx

Moggins - I hope your appointment goes well with the school

Weighed myself this morning and have only lost 1 lb in 2 weeks:eek: despite eating really healthily and giving up all the usual crap:mad: dont know what I'm doing wrong:confused: i have skimmed milk, eat whole grains wherever possible, have trebbled the amount of fruit I eat, eat loads of veggies and try and have 30 mins exercise a day with a brisk uphill dog walk.I also drink gallons of water. The only thing I can think of is to have smaller portion sizes and try and fit more exercise in.Its so depressing

edited to say am so sorry to hear about your loss gingin xxx

Off to work later till 10pm.

    have a great day

    Take care xxx

gingin, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.

And Big Hugs to DLB, I've been reading and you are one very special lady with a very special family,

I've not had time to read back far over todays thread but will catch up later, so hugs to all who need or want one and have a great day everyone.

    xxx

Edited to encourage Taplady, It sounds as if you are doing everything you can, the wweight will go, when you diet healthily it does take longer but the results are more sustainable, keep going Hun, you'll get there xxx
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D
