I noticed in dalmarnock today that they had wrapping paper sets ( 3 rolls of wrap and ribbons and bows) for £3 or 342, these were also marked as half price for £1.50! Does this mean you would get the three sets for £3 instead of £6? Thanks

Hi not in my store. They scan at 1.50 which is the half price but no 342
  • Just a little FYI - from a helpful Tesco tll lady...

If you are buying something (in my case it was wine) which is displayed in large numbers with the incorrect price, then they have to give it to you for that price. It's not quite DTD but it is handy.

I found this out because I picked up a botle of white, which was next to a stack of identical bottles priced at £3.79. When it rang through at much more, I queried it, and when the cashier verified it, she gave it to me for the labeled price, as another staff member must have placed the batch in the wrong place.

This is wrong you ate entitled to dtd. Some managers will say that "they only need to honour the deal" not the dtd but they do!
  • Got 2 of these earlier as have fiends all expecting, forgot to self scan and price was spotted at the till so no dtd for me. Gonna try again later and will take others back to a different store. Wish me luck!!!

Got them!!! I got 2 my friend got 1. I haven't got my refund yet as was same cs as earlier in the day and thought it would like sus. My friend got her refund though, cs tried to avoid dtd but manager said she would have to do it! I also have the beer glitch to get refunded as £4 over charge so £8 with dtd. I got speckled hen, crabbies, cidre and fosters.

You are only entitled to DTD if you are charged more than the stated price on the label of the product.

If you query it at the checkout before paying you have not yet been charged and they can reduce the item down for you.

Also, if the label is not for the correct item, they don't have to sell it to you for the incorrect label's price. It's just a nice gesture to keep up customer relations.

Managed to get 6 of the double effects deodorant today. Might be worth looking closer as the sel on top shelf with price of £1 was empty but lower down with an sel of £2ish was the same deodorant. Same barcode on both but did scan at £1 bogof. I figured either way I was going to get a bargain.

i found a good item for 4p yesterday.
it was a men's supersoft fleece dressing gown in a clear plastic wrapper. it was £18, but had A/W 10 by the bar-code, making it old stock and a great bargain.
it was navy blue in colour - hope someone else can find them too!
