what you wrote made sense to me, telco have confused themselves by putting 3 different prices on 1 shelf0 -

Highly unlikely it is to do with stock being stolen and also customers who scam the store, resulting with honest people footing the extra cost's.0 -
oh well, i can live with the guilt. I'll look at it as my own little claw back of the extra car insurance i pay because of all the neck injuries or the income tax i pay for all the people who "can't" work.

How did they scam the store? The CS person made the mistake regarding refunding too much for the meal deal. Perhaps if it was made clearer that you only get one 5p coupon per transaction rather than per meal deal, they would not have had to get a refund and repurchase the meal deal to get the second 5p coupon and therefore they would not have had too much refunded in the first place.
I think blaming price rises on situtations like this is simplifying things. Far more factors come into price inflation than just wastage & losses on the shop floor. However, just my opinion and you are entitled to your own.Avatar courtesey of HC :beer:0 -

how many time do tesco over charge customers on a daily basis?
Its Tesco promice to double the difference if you are over charged, and its people like us that play them at their own game and win.
So where and when are we stealing stock, I see it tesco are stealing from non savvy people.
We keep tesco looking over their shoulders because they rip us off
