  • The 4 for £25 beers offer is indeed not working properly.

2x fosters 12 tins plus 8 tins speckled hen plus 12 bottles becks only had £7 discount taken off hence £6 overchage and DTD of £6 back making total cost just £19

The CS lady scanned them and said that the fosters is not working - 4 of them are priced at £33 instead of £25 which would mean on overcharge of £8 and therefore a !6 refund taking the cost to you down to £17 for 48 tins of (allegedly) amber nectar.

Dhe also said that the speckled hen was not working, but did not tell me the price that was coming in at.

Went to another Tesco and this time got 2 x fosters. 1 x becks and 1 x 9 bottles of speckled Hen - came in with a discount of £7 but as the bottles of speckled Hen were £8, the total charged was £29 - overcharged by £4 and DTD taking total cost down to £21.

CS rep here said that it should have been fixed on Sunday and al of the beers on offer were messed up.

Meanwhile whilst at the first Tesco a lady was DTD on wheat crubchies 10 pack - by one get 2 free. I tried it bit did not work for me.
    To infinity and beyond!

Looking at Tesco online for cider, I have noticed a 'good offer'

Magners Irish Cider £1.98 each or 2 for £5.00

Does anyone know any way to use this to my advantage?
i dont think the 2 people you mentioned meant you any offence, they may not have realised the offer was in fact dearer. there is no way you could use it to your advantage as it would probably charge you £3.96, i entered 2 bottles in the online checkout and it did charge £3.96 in fact these pricing errors from tesco was on watch dog 3 weeks ago. or the above people may have been laughing at tescos stupid offer. i have always found czerniacha very helpful and knowledgeable in other posts. so please dont let this misunderstanding bother you
thought about it some more, i entered 3 bottles in checkout and the offer takes 98p off. so offer should be 3 bottles for £5

I agree. I'm absolutely sure they wouldn't have been mean. I'm sure they found the whole 'offer' from Mr T highly amusing and probably thought you were just pointing out the stupidity of the 'offer'.

On the whole, we're a pretty good bunch on here. I've found everyone to be so kind and helpful. The glitches/ offers etc have made my life alot easier recently, and I'm grateful to all who post glitches/ offers etc.

Group hug! :grouphug: Ooer, looks well dodgy! :rotfl:

I noticed in dalmarnock today that they had wrapping paper sets ( 3 rolls of wrap and ribbons and bows) for £3 or 342, these were also marked as half price for £1.50! Does this mean you would get the three sets for £3 instead of £6? Thanks

A4 pukka pads (the fancy notebooks) at my local tesco, 56p tonight, 200 pages and 5 dividers. Blue and green stripey cover.

SEL did say 56p was only 2 left, so we got both.

Got these in one Tesco, there were also pink stripey ones. However they were either £3.50 or £4.50 in two others.

There was also Pritt stick a large one 50p. 4 Tesco white board markers 50p (£4 in another) and the Maths tins with the ruler etc. 50p, again much dearer in another.
  • Just be careful with the gift bags folks, i found some in my local with sticker barcodes over the original barcodes these will scan at £2.xx the ones without the stickers are still 1p :D

When you say gift bags, are they the type that has a few small toys and things in or the bags you fill yourself for parties etc

the 1p Toy Story gift bags are the sort of giftbags you would put a present in...theyre usually with the cards/wrapping paper...they're a great size to use as party bags though - I've got 18 for my nephews party on Sunday and filled with Ts cheap yoyos..cars..crayons..bubbles etc and cake! :)
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!
