Can you explain this one a bit more to me please? Or direct me to the OP.
    Thanks
    LL

It means that eviesdad bought three items with a reduced price yellow sticker (some peeps call them whoopsies as the sticker actually says whoops in A$da) and a fourth regular priced item but all four products are part of a buy 4 for £12 offer and its supposed to be ignored when you get reduced price whoopsies - this time it has kicked in giving eviesdad effectively two discounts. :)

Some times it happens and most times it wont but its a nice little bonus when it does.

My rule of thumb (for what its worth) is only buy if you really want it and if the two deals work for you then happy days.

Thanks Raven. Thought it was worth a mention as never works at coop and normally at Tesco I would avoid the multi buy offer when buying yellow stickers/whoopsies.

Just a little FYI - from a helpful Tesco tll lady...

If you are buying something (in my case it was wine) which is displayed in large numbers with the incorrect price, then they have to give it to you for that price. It's not quite DTD but it is handy.

I found this out because I picked up a botle of white, which was next to a stack of identical bottles priced at £3.79. When it rang through at much more, I queried it, and when the cashier verified it, she gave it to me for the labeled price, as another staff member must have placed the batch in the wrong place.

i think that information might be incorrect, have you checked with head office CS, as far as we know DTD policy is not specific to low cost items only, think you've been trouted.

If you've still got your receipt ring CS they will likely send you a gift card or ring the store for you

You are correct - if you query it at the till then they will let you have it at the price advertised, but if you pay for the item then go to Customer Services then you should get Double The Difference

Hope you find some. Found mine in an extra store in the baby aisle even though it was part of the half price toy sale. Got them in stoke-on-trent area. Got mine for a friend too but she is just having the one baby lol.

Hi, with regards to DTD, how do you explain/get over the embarrasment or whatever it is, of explaining to an SA the simple fact of paying more for the item at the till than you know it costs. If I get to the till with a £10 item how can I offer an explanation of why I simply handed over £30 for it? I understand it would be easy to do with a lot of small shopping items, but I don't see how it can be explained when it's only one or two items. I've already received verbal abuse from staff for getting my first DTD several weeks back so am very reluctant to try it again!

Loads of ways of getting around it, If you've paid by card you were too busy putting shopping away and just put your pin in and did'nt realise until you've paid, Their was a queue behind you and you didnt want to hold it up so paid. You thought maybe you'd made a mistake so paid and then went to CS to check.
To be honest I have never been asked why I did'nt realise and if I was I'd just say I thought maybe I'd made a mistake so went and checked the shelf after I'd paid.
Always remember in the back of your mind it's their error and not yours and that is their policy so you are not doing anything wrong;)
