just got DTD on patiks curry sauces, were priced at £1.00 on the SEL but went throught at £1.69, HTH0

Just a few quick questions: Do all Tesco's offer DTD when you're overcharged or is it just certain stores? Is it at the CS discretion whether they offer DTD / are there situations where you have to remind them it's DTD when you go to claim that you've been overcharged?Starting comping middle of October 2011: Wins so far: 2 x concert tickets, a year's supply of Tetley Tea / Tetley mug, F+F 5 shirt with satchel bag:j0

Depends on individual CS at stores, few are excellent, most average and some treat dtd as if it is their own personal fund and not corporate Tesco policy.
I have found that a polite reminder is very often needed. On one or two occasions I have found I have had to firmly had to stand my ground. On one occasion when the CS assistant was trying to 'let me have the product at the SEL on this occasion', I really had to insist, pointing out nicely that I had already been messing about waiting now for 10 minutes, and that in my opinion as she didn't seem to grasp Tesco policy, she should go and find someone who could. There is usually a sign somewhere on the CS wall saying they should things not add up, you will get dtd.
If you are sure you are correct on dtd, you should never give up. There is always the last resort of emailing philip.clarke@uk.tesco.com on your return home detailing the most unfortunate shopping experience you have just encountered and the inability of the store being able to implement Tesco policy.0 -
This is sort of a glitch, I was in Tesco and bought 2 FROZEN Tesco LIGHTER CHOICES cheescakes SEL marked up at £1.
That was a good deal! Went through the till and checked my receipt leaving and was charged £1.50 each :eek:
So yes you guessed it went to customer services got double difference back making a whole frozen cheescake in effect cost me 50p!!!
Yes downside is LIGHTER CHOICES so lower in calories but i guess you could do what i'm gonna do when need indulgence and add Anchor extra thick squirty cream on it YUM :j:j
THE FLAVOURS WERE STRAWBERRY AND MANDARIN. GOOD TO STASH IN FREEZER FOR XMAS?? WISH I'D GOT MORE:(

I passed your comment back to the young lady whose story I was reporting, but I'm afraid her response was not very lady-like and certainly isn't repeatable here.
Two comments:
1. I thought the purpose of this forum was to share info about Tesco misprices etc, not to give opinions on the moral status of users.
2. I fail to see how this is any different to those who go looking for mis-priced items to claim DTD. Both are taking advantage of holes in the mighty T's computer systems.0 -
Just wanted to say Thank You to the people who post on this forum :T , I went to Tescos last night with a list but only managed to get some Harry Hill nuts and some dorman nuts.
I did however get some Philips Extra Bass in ear headphones, they were half price on the SEl for £5 but they were scanning at £2.50 if this helps anyone.
Barcode 8712581496555 it's a white and orange box, my OH is always breaking headphones so should save :rotfl:0 -
Hi, I've been reading this thread/forum quite a while now and decided to jump in..... It's great to see all these misprices etc... but are any of these ever available in Northern Ireland? I did hear one story that Samsung Galaxy Tablets had been mispriced at Mr T's to £ 100 and obviously sold out rather quickly.....
It would be interesting to hear.......Thanks!!0 -
Hi All,
I really not too sure where to post Tesco things anymore - here, on the gone but not forgotten board or the main grabbits (to then be moved) - so here it goes
this is an old one from DTD days, and you may all know about it, but found some BETTY CROCKER PANCAKE SHAKER ORIGINAL 155G yesterday for 50p (the checkers showed it at £1.31 in Asda) - the SEL was 50p and was best before Nov 12.I love this site and all chums, but its making a dent in my bank account!!!
Have lots of things I want, but dont necessarily need... Must DO BETTER!!! :A0 -
