Sorry for all of those that also had a real pants night
I have to go to town today too, DD2 wants psp games, and i promised her yesterday we could go get some. My girls r also so bored being stuck indoors, weather been rubbish and i`ve not walked anywhere for weeks, only to and from the car haha! So poor things need a good run around, might take them up to the local ball pit later!
Checked thru the hosp bag i packed last week as i`ve brought a few things to add to it (new hairbrush, toothbrush, etc) good job i did as there were no pants or socks in there hahaha!!!!!!! That would have been interesting!
Dh has just now informed me that the hospital called "the other day" and i need to call them back for a physio app. If i say anything, i`ll scream.......Mummy to 3 beautiful GIRLS, 9, 7 and 3,and a handsome lil BOY 03.03.12 :T

If you really cant get a rubber ring, roll a towel into a sausage shape and bend it round into a toilet seat shape
not the most comfy thing, but better than nowt! But think positive, you wont be that sore and wont need one

cloudberry if i see one il let you know hun.
just told hubby we are going to the sales today, his response was less than enthusiastic, i wont tell him i was going to givd him some money for the jeans he really wants then if he dosent want to go.
i got some slippers for dd3 in sainsburys before christmas, well she brought them out of her christmas money but they dont fit so i am going to try and exchange them, trouble is, she has taken the label off so i hope they let me swap them.
there is absoloutley no motivation at all in the lovecrafting household, i told the kids were going into town and the only one that has actually got dressed is dd1 and thats only because she knows if we go into town i will probly get annoyed with them and drop them into soft play so i can look round the shops in peace. the other two havent clicked onto this yet and are sat watching some crappy film on tv about superheroes.0 -

Eeeeek!!! I'm a boldie! Somehow never thought that would be me... wierd, freaky, scary!
Had a mega sleep today. Went to bed at 11.30pm (have learnt it seems the optimal time not to have uber early morning wee trips), got up for a wee at 7.30 when DH got up to put the rubbish out, and then i went back to bed and slept till i just got up at 11!! YAY! Feel a bit dopey headed but gooooooooooood.
Please beanie. Come today. Or tomorrow. Just not NYD (i hate the idea of NYD birthday).Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

tmi for most of this post
something like that is ideal hun, what i did was i put mine inside a pillowcase (well an old sheet that i put a few stitches in, just to make it a bit more comfortable.
also remember to get a jug for the bathroom. a cheapo plastic jug will do it, if your sore from the stitches then when having a wee pour some luckewarm water over your erm..lady bits wilst peeing it will help reduce the soreness (dont just use the normal bathroom jug because it will have soap residue in it and sting alot)
another thing i found helpfull (i had stitches) was bum cream, like sudicrem (you get it free in your bounty pack) along the side of your maternity pads, it will stop the pad sticking and hurting when you pull your pants down.
everyone is different tho, i really struggled with paid afterwards and was still in hospital for quite a wile with the babies being so early, i had 9 internal stitches because dd1 and dd2 came out wonky, it was like head and shoulder rather than just head. some women dont have a downstairs problem at all afterwards so please dont think i am trying to frighten you
the salt water in the jug tale is just that a tale and it will hurt alot..do not use saltwater to pour over your punanni after giving birth you will headbutt the ceeling. plain water will do fine0 -
Re: Lovecraftings usefull advice not to use salt water to bath in, i also read, that the stitches they use these days will shrink if you bathe in salt water, and will therefore get small and tight and make the pain worse.... Oldies will tend to propound the salt water bath will heal quicker theory, but ignore them, cos things have changed since their day!
On the ring cushions, i know they can be prescribed on the NHS, so i was thinking of waiting and seeing if i could wangle a proper one that way. There are loads of surgical ring cushions available to buy from £14.99 all the way up to £50, but i fugure if i can get one prescribed whilst on my mat exemption card, why not!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!
