Hi Icey,
I found this link because at 33 weeks I have only put on one kilo and I'm average BMI and a bit confused!
Hope this helps http://www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/antenatalhealth/physicalhealth/weightgain/0 -
Thanks for all that info lovecrafting, dont worry about sounding scary, I think its good to know these things just incase - the more useful info beforehand the better!
Had a bit of a sore throat in the night and thought maybe it was down to the heating being on a lot of the time and me not being used to being home with it on. But now my throat feels a bit thick and just generally dont feel quite right. Gone into a bit of a panic about having a cold and then having the baby any day, just dont think I will cope - not how I wanted this to happen.:T baby boy born 01/01/2012 my New Years Day Boy

Does anyone else have a heart shaped uterus? I have read online and it seems I will be at a higher risk or breech baby requiring C section, low birth weight, or pre-term deliver. Am very upset about this as I wanted a natural delivery. They found out I had a heart shaped uterus at my 7 week scan. I'm really scared now.
My friend has a heart shaped uterus, her baby was transverse lie but my friend had too much amniotic fluid. Yes she had a c section which she said was ok for her and there were no problems with growth, baby was delivered on the planned section date and all fine. I will keep fingers crossed for you that baby turns to right position but wanted to tell you what happened with my friend and that everything was ok. If you Are worried then you should speak to your mw. My friend was able to discuss everything with a consultant when it all came up.

Not sure my midwife even knows! I forgot to mention it at booking in appoint. I will ask the person who does my next scan how bad it is. If it's slight it prob wont make much difference. If its well marked I could be in for a tough time. Then I will let midwife know at my next appointment in February. Nothing is ever straight forward with me! lol.0

Hi ladies, I have to go back to the special consultant at the feto-maternal unit at the big hospital to have another scan due to that measurement in baby's head being small. the midwife who rang said that the consultant at my local hospital just wanted to have it double checked by the experts who have the state of the art equipment but that we should be encouraged by the fact our CVS results were clear. The appointment is on Tuesday so once again we have a long weekend of waiting and worrying ahead of us. It's been one thing after another with this pregnancy!!!0

Lisa I cant say much atm as on my phone but try not to worry. My GP and consultant told me more and more people are referred to fetal medicine as the hospitals are so fearful of being sued that every little thing will be double and triple checked. Our consultant really couldnt tell us much more than the original scan an what he did say was horrible but he did say he had to go through worse case scenarios with us aswell as positive outcomes. So try not to worry xxThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Thanks Gilly, thats what we are thinking, that the consultant here doesn't want to be the one to say it'll be ok, he'd rather let the 'experts' do it. All I can find on the net is references to things that are tested for in the CVS test (it seems to mainly relate to downs syndrome or Edward's) so we already know its not those. Fingers crossed its just our consultant being over cautious!
I think this baby should be getting lots of little monkey things instead of giraffes its such a little monster causing problems all the time lol!0 -
Wooooohooooooo no more work for me!
Had a midwife appointment this afternoon, BP is still a bit high but her opinion was that it's probably just normal for me. She said that even at the beginning, my BP was at the higher end of the normal range so she didn't think it was anything to be worried about. Funny how you can see three different midwives and they all have different opinions about things! I hadn't seen this lady before. She had a good feel of my bump, and listened to the heartbeat, which was nice as OH was with me and he'd not heard it before.
Apparently I need to sit more in positions to encourage baby to turn a bit as it's back is round to the side a bit (too much slouching on the sofa!) but I have my gym ball now and plenty of time to sit on it/lean over it etc!
Come on boldies, let's have some more baby news!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
Congrats on last day Annabella :-)
Just had some spicy crisps which seemed to have helped clear my throat a bit. Got myself all worked up earlier but trying to keep it calm now:T baby boy born 01/01/2012 my New Years Day Boy

Meh  I usually try to do my tax return before christmas to get it out of the way and now when I finally get my bum into gear all the previous years info and workings are on my old laptop in the loft. I thought they were on the flash drive I keep in handbag but no.
So DH will have to rootle in the loft tomorrow and I hope I can get the blasted thing to work with a busted screen enough to copy over the files.
Now I shall have to flump on the sofa and watch TV or read my kindle instead ... or perhaps make a date and walnut cake.
DH has just gone to work so I can fiddle faddle about as much as I like (not much it has to be said!) without him following me about asking what I am doing.Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0
