Also we have a 0-6 months sleeping bag, but no swaddle thingy, not sure if it's worth a try - can we just cut up an old sheet and make one or are they a special shape?

.......... Hi Bluebell just been reading a free book that came with january prima baby & pregnancy magazine answer yes you can make one out of a sheet (cotton or winceyette!! non-stretchy sheet) 110cm by 85cm it is just a rectangle

Well. What little energy I had has well and truly vanished :( had 8 hours over last night and this afternoon and still feel dead. Rubbish.

Emotions are all over the place. DD came home with a Xmas card for me that she'd made at school and it's so lovely, I just burst into tears. Then she gave me a massive hug and told me she loved me and bump so much. Cue more tears. I don't like it, its not like me. :rotfl:

Got more pressies to wrap tonight. Went and got DD some of those sleepsuits from Mothercare as she loves those and they had some in the sale. Think I'll have a glass of non alcoholic wine too.

Fancying McDonalds loads today, so that may be for tea. :D x

Must be a pregnancy thing lol. My 3 year old came home from pre-school after having his 1st school xmas party today. I was feeling very emotional as he told me what they had been doing-2nd time this week i have cried over him lol. He made me teary when he said mommys got baby in tummy!

I am having a chinese for tea tonight-i wonder if the curry sauce will be hot/spicey enough to help start labour?! lol

My sister, bless her, is constantly sending me text messages and ringing me to see if there is anything 'happening' yet....she's looking after our little boy for us when i do go into labour, so she's anxiously waiting for me to ring her up, taking her mobile to bed with her!

I am very bored now of stopping at home, when i do try to go out and do anything i am in pain/discomfort or needing the loo every 5 minutes. So i have just stopped in most of the week, admitedly i have enjoyed some extra sleep in the morning but by the afternoon i am bored!

My son is driving me a bit loopy again today-think he's bored in the afternoons too now. Will be glad to be able to chase him aorund again and go for walks to the park and different places again. I am used to walking every day and being out quite a lot-so this is driving me mad!! :o

Okay parcel finally got delivered BUT we were out :o so getting it redelivered Monday, Crib is coming Monday too, so that suits me.

So happy today, first person ever asked me "how long have you got left" :o think people have been afraid to in the past incase I'm just fat! :rotfl: Was the barista in Starbucks, was Italian or something and when he said he had no decaff I said oh I'll just leave it, then he said I have this special blend of decaff, do you want that, so I had that, was yummy. Been naughty today, 2 take away coffees (decaff but not very MSE :o )

OH has loads of M&S bags, so hopefully it's the housecoat I've had my eye on or I'll be disappointed now :p

We're planning on blasting the tidying up now then I'm relaxing in bed all night, I am exhausted, I honestly think my baby must be about 5lbs (not kidding) because my bump is soooo heavy.

Had MW appt yesterday and blood pressure went up again (after coming down a bit last week), so I have another home visit on Monday morning to check on it. Still no headaches, vision problem or proteins in the urine, so they're just keeping an eye on me ;)

My hands are getting much worse now (carpal tunnel). I'm getting pins and needles most of the day and through the night, and one of my fingers and one of my thumbs keeps getting stuck closed, so in the mornings I have to pry them open :rotfl:, so off to GP today to see if I can get a splint as apparantly that can help, and I don't want to cause any permanent damage with still 6 weeks to go until our EDD....... I hate that I can't feel my fingertips, and I've had to stop wearing my wedding/engagement ring now as my hands swell up here and there and I don't want to have them cut off! Really hate looking down to see my rings are missing. Boo

I've had the same blood pressure issues, twigpig. Had another MW appointment today and it appears to have come down. They have just been keeping an eye on me as I haven't had any of the other stuff either. I asked the midwife if she'd advise me to stay off work, in the hope that she'd offer to sign me off work for the next two weeks but she wasn't having any of it so looks like I'm heading back into work on Monday! It's only 4 days though, and am going to say to my manager that I want this to be my last week, so starting my holiday, and subsequent mat leave, 3 days earlier than planned. But also will just take next week one day at a time and see how I go...

I've also had to take my rings off, as it was getting to the stage where I thought I should probably take them off before they get stuck! It's not nice, not wearing them! But I figure it's only a few more weeks...

My mum came with me to my midwife appointment today, and she loved hearing the baby's heartbeat :D She said a while ago that if the opportunity arose, she'd love to come with me to an appointment and hear the heartbeat, so she drove up today and came with me. I wasn't sure if the MW would feel my bump or check the heartbeat today to be honest, as it was just a BP check but she did. My mum was so pleased, I think she even got a bit teary, bless her! Anyway, midwife also reckons I'm now 2/5 engaged, which has happened in the space of a week, as the head was free last Thursday! I'm guessing there's no guarantee it won't un-engage itself though... But I'm still excited that things appear to be going in the right direction!

I'm so tired today... I could do with a nap I reckon but I think if I sleep now then I won't sleep well tonight so am just going to keep going a few more hours and get an early night.

Another thing, should I order the Soap & Glory set from Boots, got it last year, and haven't used everything, but now after being in town and it being sold out, and came home and it's still in stock, is it an omen? Ahh can't decide.

Sorry you're still feeling rubbish Rebekkah. Lightheadedness and dizzyness are really common and I've had them from about week 6 through till now - midwife says it's the hormones. If it's very severe (somedays I'm laid on the sofa feeling almost drunk as the floor appears to be bending away from me) it's worth seeing someone as it can be a sign of high or low blood pressure.

I got mine this morning. It's lovely and the bag will be great for hospital. I bought past S&G sets the last few Christmasses and still using stuff now from those sets,so this mornings one will be split for various pressies,so even more of a bargain:j

Just to warn you, sometimes things look like they're in stock on the website, the order goes through, but then by the time it gets to the warehouse to be processed they've run out... It's a pain in the bum but it can happen... Would hate for you to order it then be disappointed! But equally, you might order it online and it goes through with no problems... It's on the offer until next Thursday so your store might get more stock in...
