Mozzy - sorry to hear that, hope the softener works. I wouldn't rule out the other option though, it might help to have something a little more direct... and the other half of your dignity will go in due course when fingers go checking on how far dilated :rotfl:
Welcome mollymuchkin. I'd give the surgery a call and ask, some places seem to expect you to go through the GP and others straight to the midwife. The GP will only refer you on but it might be their standard practice.:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Ohhh, Thanks Ro!!!
I was tired and grumpy last night and simply couldn't work it out
Really feel for you Mossy, I have to be careful too as I can suffer from constipation if I'm not careful. I've found that I have to take my time with a number two, no rushing for me. That's why I have Readers Digest in my bathroom at all times, something to occupy my mind whilst doing that I've got to do.
I've also heard the little stool tip, I think it has something to do with toilets make you sit where naturally you'd be better off squatting.
Ginvzt, my placenta is anterior too. I started to feel Elvis about 18 weeks (I think, can't remember now). Now at 29 weeks there seems to be less of the kicks and more of wriggling, perhaps she is getting a bit tight for space.
I have a Chiropractor appointment tonight, hopefully they might be able to do something about my hip. She got me up and walking last time I hurt my back so I have great faith in her.
Talking of walking, I had to walk back from dropping my car off for a service this morning. We had a little bit of snow over night and it was snowing all morning. Uber slow walk back and I'll hace to go out again this afternoon to get the car back. Ho hum, got to keep moving or I'll just sit on the sofa anf veg all dayWhether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
I first felt tiny flutters at about 17 weeks and they just got stronger from then on. Nowadays it feels like he's practising martial arts and is very weird!DS1 born June 2000

TMI ALERT (again!) Well, half my dignity has just got out the window with finger up my bum!!!!
:(
I've got a tear there, so have just been given some stool softner for now. She said I could have a suppository if I wanted , I obviously declined!!!!!
It's not much fun is it?! To make you feel a bit better-i have varicose veins on my vulva (similar to piles but in different place)-i had to see a consultant to get it looked at. Just my luck it was a young fit male doctorI think i did turn red that day.
The suppositorys do help a lot with piles from past experience-used along with the cream.
Hoper your botty feels a bit better soonxx

Quick question - has anybody else had itchy legs? It's just started the past couple of days and it's driving me mad.
Any advice what I could use?DS1 born June 2000

Try aqueous cream. The plain one is good, but if you can get the one with menthol, even better.
p.s. its what the consultant prescribed me for horrific all over itching!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

I get itchy feet and hands, especially in the evening and morning. I get itchy legs if I don't moisturise enough. The worst is if we go to the airport, as that seems to make my skin drier than ever, and even lots of oil on the legs before leaving can still leave me itching in the airport. I got a bottle of expensive Clinique body cream, that seems to be great, but I am not planing on spending that amount again!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

I'm thinking my skin may be really dry as I never really moisturise and I have taken to having a bath every night so maybe that is drying them out. I will try and nip out to the chemist and grab somethingDS1 born June 2000

Just read this that sometimes the aqueous cream can make dry skin worse:

Don't mean to scare anyone from using it, as it can help people, but just wanted to share what I just saw.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
