    Hiya ladies,
I flew in the first trimester at 6+5 and then again at 8+5 long haul flight to Mexico, I also had a spotting/bleeding whilst on holiday, at roughly 8weeks (scan changed my dates so im trying to figure it out and failing miserably :S) I asked by GP before hand when I went to confirm the pregnancy and she basically told me to knock myself out and enjoy my last single person holiday!! But she also gave the advice - those travel bands you wear on you wrists might help (omg they did whether it psychological or not I do not know but definately helped on the plane and transfers), take a pack of ginger biscuits, take small packs of biscuits you can have in hand luggage to sip on, and plenty of sunscreen you really do burn more, and then just the usual holiday abroad advice - no water that isnt bottled, no mr whippys, no washed salads etc

Bump getting measured - mine was measured this week - at 24 weeks and was spot on :S which i was worried about considering im a fatty but nope spot on apparently.

No appointments now til the new year when itll be the midwife for 28week check and bloods and/or the consultant for 28 week check and bloods and gtt but she was a bit vague so ill just wait and see.

Does the random hormonal crying stop soon?? In the last two days Ive cried because M&S had sold out of stacking cups I wanted for the baby, and cried because my jeans got wet while out in the rain :rotfl: crying for random reasons isnt me at all :rotfl:

sitting on the floor doing a good deed and gift wrapping presents has left me walking like ive just got off a horse with a sore lower back doh

    Hope everyones well xxx
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

I'm afraid the hormones are here for the long haul! :D Right now i'm fuming at my other half for being off all afternoon but just managing to send me a quick text saying 'how are you' at bedtime. Well, i'm stressed and rather irritable actually! Would've liked to talk over the midwife appointment with him.

    Morning All :)

:grouphug: for those that need them.

seems like there is a pile up of boldies on the list!!!

Last night got up to wee and omg the bathroom was an ice cavern, demanded hubby snuggle so could keep warm and tbf bit concerned might be fighting off getting a cold. Feel that nose is a little blocked, think that may have caught a chill when going out the other day as summer maxi dresses and bare legs wont do!! just dont feel right have had a bit of a cough too on and off!!

However mum is off today so Dylan is having his first proper groom, so he might be a bit cross when he comes round :rotfl:later and mum and I will go to the big farm shop/garden centre for some fab yoghurts (the only ones can stand) and something for lunch and T. Have not really done anything with her ages and it has dawned that this could be the last time on own as you never know!! Wondering if we will walk round garden centre see how I feel.

Heartburn - was getting serially peed off with it earlier in the week, tried chewable rennies they were rubbish so got gaviscon chewable tabs, ate before 6, went to bed much later at 9pm (I know pathetic), took 2 tabs at bedtime, lay on my back but propped up which I do worry about but was desperate and no heartburn. Worked again last nite long may it last!! just dont like taking any medication but needs must.

Got to phone to find out blood results ie whether iron any better, have been taking two spatone sachets in oj (stirred!) on its own and no food for a while first thing, plus also taking folic acid. Think that the level will still be low though as think bubs is nicking it all :( will see what happens as dont want iron tablets but may have to have them.

Mozzy - love the avatar, re the uncomfortable down there issue I think that it was maybe 3 weeks ago that felt really uncomfortable and was obviously head down and annoying my poor pelvis, suddenly sitting on the sofa was uncomfortable leaning back plus stupid penguin waddle as well when walking. I find I ease myself on the sofa now as any crash landing well isnt good is it :rotfl:

Also I hate the smell of burnt toast again  if hubby brings me toast with even a hint of burn I wont be responsible for my actions as an irritable pregnant women:rotfl:

Have ordered a home strep b test as have had it worrying me a bit and think I may as well do rather than stew over it.

My next MW appt is 21st December 36 weeks :eek:

PS - still keep faffing with hospital bag, its not fully packed but if had to go tomorrow could manage.

I had been thinking my nightwear not suitable for BF/skin to skin and was looking for a check nightshirt 100% cotton, cheap, dark colour (!!) and button through and have ordered these, thought would mention as only £10 and free delivery code on the website too

    http://www.bonmarche.co.uk/3-12-nightwear/4237-teal-woven-check-nightshirt/8-blue

have found it really difficult to find anything like this cheap and also just finding dark coloured 100% cotton button through cheap nighties hard to find too as want big size so can wear before and after birth.
  • Eeek I'm now a boldie! Remember when I was number 40 something and now the day is here! No signs of anything happening imminently though; got mw appt later this morning and she mentioned she might do a sweep so will go for that if she still offers. Last couple of nights have been horrendous sleeping with trying to get comfy on each side, getting a dead leg after an hour so having to swap sides whilst feeling like my hip is going to pop out whenever I move, coupled with OH's snoring. I know I won't be getting any more sleep once she's here, but at least I can get comfy and solve one of the problems. OH should be picking up a sofabed in the next few days so that'll solve the other problem!

Will keep you all posted of any developments (I wish!)

Right... I am doing my hospital bag today! Well, I know there are some bits I still need to get but am going to get my little suitcase out from under the spare bed, start washing some baby clothes, put together some other baby bits like nappies etc and work out what I still need to buy, then trawl the Internet looking for said stuff! Otherwise it'll be January and I still won't have done it!

    Oh, morning everyone... :D

Asda do a similar one in red, just not as long, if you need any more. :)
