Yeah, have just checked my book and you only have the 24 week (and 31 week) appointment if it's your first.

I don't think that's sad at all! Just because it's not your first baby doesn't mean you're not allowed to be excited! :D

I think as my youngest is nearly six it does feel like I'm a first time mum again!! Everything has changed since I had my boys. Even though I know everything is ok as bubba is constantly kicking and wriggling I still worry about not seeing my midwife much. I suppose we all worry until we have our baby in our arms!!

Right, pizza ordered - thank you for the tip about the Domino's! They are in the oven now according to Domino's, so shouldn't be long now! Last time we ordered pizza delivered home was 2.5 - 3 years ago!

Hello all. Apologies if this question has already been asked - have you been on a plane in 1st Tri and if yes then was everything ok? I'm 9 weeks today and flying abroad for Xmas. My mum's panicking that I shouldn't be flying. What do you think?
  • :( I've gone all sentimental and emotional and teary :(

Doesn't help that I've been listening to that Birdy song (People help the people) and Lana Del Rey (Video Games) and Adele (Someone Like You).

I spoke to my dad earlier and he asked what I was doing tomorrow and I said I've got plans, why? And he said he just wondered if I fancied going for lunch with him. I think this is what's set me off - he never suggests things like that and I think he's thinking that it might be the last opportunity for the two of us to get together for a while... I honestly can't remember the last time he and I did something on our own.

Silly mare. I'm blubbing again. Can't wait for these hormones to p!ss off.

Silly Moo - you should be fine - I did a couple of flights in my first trimester, then flew home from Sydney to London at 25 weeks. Its only in the later stages you need to be mindful of the airline's policy.

Do you mean GP? I've only been there twice in my life and am not sure if they're much help. Unfortunately MW appointment is at the end of Dec so can't ask her either.

    NHS guidelines here... http://www.nhs.uk/chq/Pages/927.aspx?CategoryID=54&SubCategoryID=133

It does suggest that you discuss it with your GP to make sure you're feeling ok. The cut off for most airlines is 36 weeks so from the airline's point of view you're fine, but you might want to check with your GP to make sure you get a clean bill of health if you're unsure.
