  • Hiya Fatties! (like my belly doesn't still look 5months pregnant!!)

Sorry for queue jumping, but my baby boy was born at 11.50am, Tues 6th Dec, 6lb 14oz!!

Natural birth (after previous c-sec) SO glad not another 9lb +!!

Will put a birth story on within the week, it wasn't fun, but so happy to have achieved 'giving birth' (bit of a nasty episotomy :( )

Home & well, love being a mummy again & looking forward to Xmas.

Good luck to you all with babies hurrying up & painless labours (that is a myth!)

Will pop in a bit when I have time xxx

Mozzy - love the avatar, re the uncomfortable down there issue I think that it was maybe 3 weeks ago that felt really uncomfortable and was obviously head down and annoying my poor pelvis, suddenly sitting on the sofa was uncomfortable leaning back plus stupid penguin waddle as well when walking. I find I ease myself on the sofa now as any crash landing well isnt good is it :rotfl:
    Ro xx

Thanks Ro! I just don't think i'm used to him moving down there. I don't really feel him at the best of times, but when I feel it down there, it makes me jump from the jolt!

Well, (another moan about symptoms..........) today's symptoms are - I woke up this morning with really achey sore fingers. And they are still sore now. Just googled it, and apparently its normal??? Water retention makes them swell up and can cause them to be painful. I'm rather bad with clicking my knuckles, and thought it was related to that! :o Even though I suppose it can't help.

Looks like we are in the same pregnancy camp Mozzy. Yes, achy finger joints are also a known pg ailment. Its a form of arthritis, excess fluid in the joints. I've had it in my finger joints for about 3 months, worst during the night and in the morning. Giving my hands a massage with a nice hand cream in the morning seems to help, and trying to avoid sleeping with hands under the pillow (i'm a demon for doing that!).

It supposedly goes quickly after the birth, thank heaven. I really cant say i've enjoyed being pregnant very much! Annoyingly my 2 BFF's also expecting within 8 weeks (either side of me), have both sailed through with no sickness, nausea, itching, constantly blocked nose, tinnitus, cravings, aversions or other pesky symptoms. Bah! This of course means that in the interests of karma, i'm going to have a swimmingly easy birth and a delightfully easy child. Not.

My thoughts exactly Kira!!! I think pregnancy is over rated haha. I didn't have loads of sickness, just nausea, but boy, i've never known constipation like THIS, sleepless nights, blocked nose at night causing me to snore, achy, no energy, every chair i seem to sit on for some reason feels like its made of concrete haha. I know I haven't had it as bad as most, but when people ask me if i'm enjoying being pregnant, they're met with a big fat NO! I'm over it lol
