I am happy. But I am so scared. I just can't get excited yet. It's still not really real. I feel emotionally messed up which is weird when I should be jumping for joy. I'll get there ...

Tis not really surprising you feel like that hon.. Mad pg hormones, combined with deep worry and now deep relief! Sounds like a perfect recipe for emotional topsy turmoil to me!:)

OMG It's real! I'm pregnant. I am absolutely terrified! Strong heartbeat present. Ovulated from the right ovary and implanted into the right side. Ovaries healthy and no reason for bleeding. She said I might just be a bleeder and bleed the whole way through. Or it might be hormonal but not to worry for now.

Wonderful news:)it's such a relieve when you see alittle bean on screen.

    Thanks Kira and Bluebell.
I'm the same as you Kira, i hate not knowing when! I was still only 2/5 engaged at my 36week appointment. Got my 38week appointment on mon 19th dec. I think baby is moving downwards as well as been getting pain in pelvic area and it did get a bit painful yesterday and felt the babies head.

Hope everyone is surviving their pregnancy. Glad things have calmed down here - live in central scotland and was getting battered by wind storm and there is some damage to our neighbour wall but we are ok. Glad I am staying in with ryan.

Had to visit hospital on wed as midwife was not happy with blood pressure so ryan had his first visit back to hospital for mum to be checked out. Waiting in today for midwife to do heal test on ryan and dad and DD are putting up the christmas tree - I will help a bit but then its bottle time.

Ryan is a good wee soul and we have to wake him for feeds - I think he will be very laid back - gving me this impression.

as you know I had to be induction and he was so comfy in me that they tried all 3 ways to get things started and then switched it up as he was not getting the message. I ended up with bed delivery as had the drip to things going quicker but it not too bad - also I managed to survive on gas and air only - very surprised at this. At few wee problems afterwards where I had to be attended to but all sorted and the staff were fanastic.

Anyone finding they suddenly have random blood sugar crashes in the late stages? Mine just went through the floor for the second day running. About 3 hours after breakfast, had been lazing about most of that time, got up to make lunch and all of a sudden was all shaky and sweaty until I ate. The midwife didn't seem bothered yesterday when I told her it had just happened, but I don't know whether to worry or not? It is something I do have occasionally when not pregnant, but obviously after much longer periods without food. I've not been eating that much lately because it all gives me heartburn or nausea or both, but I had a big bowl of cereal this morning, and yesterday it was 2 or 3 hours after lunch.

Not so much blood sugar crashes, but sudden and random extreme hunger. Recently been waking up in the very early hours with a rumbling tum, and getting big hunger pangs mid afternoon.

The weird thing is, all my meals in the last week or two seem to come together over a small space of time, late breakfast, lunch, pretty early dinner. So I could understand if it was early morning or late evening I felt dodgy, but not fairly soon after eating! :D Maybe I just need to make myself eat extra?

Maybe space the meals out more. If you are letting yourself get too hungry, then eating all your meals in a small period of time, you will get a HUGE high, which then means you are sure to get the big low soon after. Also maybe play (as much as you can) with what you are having. Maybe you need to add in some more slow release energy foods, to string the metabolising out longer.

Or you could just eat more...:p

I think eat more is probably the answer. Because so many of my usual meals involve the heartburn triggers, I'm a bit lost at the mo as to what to eat! So quite often I'll just have something like a cheese roll for dinner, and I guess it's catching up with me? Last night I made the effort and actually cooked something, and ate it later.

P.s. just been texting the other half.. 'did they want you to go to the hospital for something?'. Why do I bother sending him full reports of exactly what goes on in my midwife appointments, as they don't get read?!
