I called dr's and had a call within 2 minutes. It was the midwife arranging booking in appointment :rotfl:So she called EPU straight away and arranged appointment for midday tomorrow. Can someone please explain to my baby that she is to big to keep moving like that. I think she just took out my lungs and a few other bits doing some smart a** move!! i did not like it!

Rebekah - good news. I have to say - I prefer internal scan to the external one after yesterday...

Back from the surgery. Nurse couldn't see anything wrong with my ear, so just told me to take paracetamol. I said it doesn't help, so she just said to take two tablets every four hours and hope it will take the edge off. I asked to have my blood pressure checked, but as this an emergency appointment she refused, telling me to either make a regular appointment for blood pressure checking (probably would take couple of weeks to get it) or ask my midwife to check it when I see her (some time next year!). I am sure I am blowing it all of proportions, but it feels like every person I see is trying to just push me to someone else as soon as they can. I just need to get used to this, I guess.

Anyway, went to Boots after and bought the monitor. Will need to go back to exchange the cuff for a large one, as it just fits me, and OH arm is a bigger, so he wouldn't be able to use it. Tested it, and it came back as 110/70, so I don't have high blood pressure at the moment, which is good news. Now, just how do I get rid of this headache (3rd day!!!) and earache? Will have to refill my hot water bottle soon and use it again.

My OH doesn't like cats so no chance of ever having one, but I love them. My mum adopted a rescue cat a few years back and he was the most kind and loving cat I've ever came across, he actually wanted snuggles and would not leave you alone for a second, sadly he was a lot older than what the rescue centre told her, and she only had him for just over 13 months, but he was lovely

Oh bless! Cats are lovely creatures. I was always a dog person in South Africa, but over here, we've only had cats, and I've learnt how beautiful they are. So much fun! And so loving!

Hey everyone

kira - It's a tough one when it comes to kids and weddings. The problem the couple has is that if they make exceptions for small babies and another "baby" is a bit older, how does she explain to another mum that her child can't come. I think it's easier all round to say no kids or allow kids, as there will always be someone missing the "cut off" lol. I'd be miffed if I had say a 3yr old and wasn't allowed to bring them, but someone else has their child with them. It really is a tough one and no matter what the couple do, they can't please everyone......

ginvt - So glad that your scan went well and the twins are doing good. I think you asked about BP checks. I had one at my booking in appt at 8 weeks and then the next midwife appointment which wasn't until 16w, and all my midwife appointments since. I also had a check at 13w too, but only as I'd been referred to the consultant at the hospital (high BMI).

rebekah - Glad you have an appointment to get checked over. Hope everything is ok with your little beanie tomorrow

laura - Can't offer any advice following your scan, but do try to stay positive. I hope they don't leave you waiting for too long......

Can't remember who is waiting til after xmas for their 16w check (ginvt maybe). Just wanted to say that in my area, they no longer check heartbeat at the 16w appointment. Have to wait here until the 25 week appointment......
