Hopefully today. We could have waited for them to come out for the meeting but that would have been nearly three hours of sitting at the hospital worrying. We dont have CF in either of ours families but OH is worried it is something to do with his Crohns, though i dont think that is likely. I wondered if maybe it could be because I had my flu jab last week and that may have given the baby a mild infection? It looks like we will have to have scans every 4 weeks to check on babies progress and see if the bowel is still echogenic, it does say in the leaflet it can be caused by bleeding in the first trimester but I havent bled or the baby can swollow blood some other way. Apparently most of the time they can not determine the cause and it just goes back to normal. I really hope that is the case.0

I had a look online for you, and they will probably take blood from both you and OH to determine the risk of CF. The wait is apparently 4 weeks.
From what I could read online, the majority of cases like this turn out good, it could be any number of things, including bad radiography skills and/or crappy equipment.
I have been in your situation though and it is so horribleso big big hugs. Hopefully they will get you back in today. In my experience they will outline the worst possible case scenario (they have to, it's their job) but try and not get too bogged down with it, as I did at the time, and when I read my notes, what the consultant had written was a lot more balanced. xxx

I'm getting what feels like spasms down below. Is that normal? More uncomfortable than painful.
Hi hon. Glad they have stopped, but sounds pretty normal anyway. Could be a number of things depending on exactly what the feeling is and where: Braxton Hicks, which are practice contractions of the uterus, which you may or may not feel to a varying extent, usually after 20 weeks.
OR it could be your bean having hiccups, which tend to be regular and spasmodic, and can feel like they are coming from you, not the bean, depending on the position.
OR Bean moving, and hitting you- i get spasm pains right in my bits, and have done for a month or two, many of them from when bean headbutts or grabs at my bits from inside!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Hey Emmylou!! Not posted on this BIG thread, it moves way to fast for me and I'm more of a lurker more than anything. Not sure you saw my post last week about my scan. Everything was fine and baby was going mad in there (even though I'm still not feeling anything myself just yet). I'm team pink!! Hope your shoulder and hips not giving you too much gip.
Bah what the heck, I'm 22 weeks today so can someone add me to the list please - EDD 12 April 12. Thanks xx

Yup. welcome to the joys. Keep with the pelvic floor exercises, and if you arent already, maybe time to start wearing a liner- you will have to anyway most likely as the amount of discharge you get will rapidly increase as well!!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Phew!! Thanks kira000 for a bit i thought i was ageing 10 fold as my pregnancy progresses!!
Been using liners for quite some time now as I've found a lot more "stuff" coming out down there making me feel somewhat wet and uncomfortable so the liners are also catching the pee as well!! (Sorry TMI!!!)Sealed Pot Challenge Member #8810
