Hmmm.. My sickness lasted well into 2nd tri, but on the whole, yes the first tri was the worst, just because i had the sickness, nausea and incredible exhausted tiredness and constant hormonal peeing. Once into the 2nd tri, it was mainly sickness, and feeling a bit tired and food faddy.
If you are reaaaaallly struggling then mention it to your doc. There are tablets they can give you for extreme sickness, rather than struggling on..

Well back from the dr. He not bothered about any of my symptoms. If fact he said good - I am so please for you lol. The tierdness will disappear when the baby is 25 years old ... The midwife will call me at 8 weeks to book the booking in appointment. And the only scan I get is at 19 weeks! They no longer do the 12 weeker. Shame was really looking forward to that

sorry to hear your drs visit didnt go well. i am only 5 + 1 weeks and the midwife offered me an appt this week although i couldnt make it so booked in for 16 dec. she said they like to see you asap so that i can get first scan done before 12 weeks, seems things are different in different parts of the country.

Hi Jedi! I was looking to change jobs for a while, and had a few offers. First one - beginning of the year, when I decided to stay with the current company as it made it easier with IVF. I had a few calls and talks with different places. I m not going to change jobs now, but I was open with the person and told I am pregnant. I thought it was better that way.

Hiphouse, I got 2 books as well. One is DK pregnancy day by day, and I love it - I am reading a page a day, and it gives you an idea about what is happening. The second one is Your pregnancy bible by Dr. Deans. I actually got some books from library first to have a look and see if I lik them, only then I ordered what I liked.

Rebekah, sorry about your appointment. It is a pity about the 12 week scan!

Saw your comment about feeling old- looks like we are about the same age then. Turned 15 in 1990. Wonder if we ever hung out in the same places, knowing we live roughly in same area..

Gosh, what a lovely chap he sounds. You could maybe look into a private scan somewhere before your 19 week one? Prices are very variable, but there are reasonable places around. Maybe ask for one/a contribution for one for xmas?

DH and I paid for a 2 part package 4D private scan, and it was worth every single penny. Did drive about 45mins to the place though, as it was much cheaper than going local.

Ah, i'm what my friends call a Scouse African - born in Liverpool 1976, but my parents emigrated to South Africa when I was 5, which is where I spent most of my life. And came back to the UK in 2000. Was in Liverpool 2000, Dartford 2005-2009, Teddington 2009-2011, now i'm in Hampton!
I guess i've moved around quite a bit haha
