Funny thing was, I was out all wednesday walking around and got away with it, then friday I do a bit of cleaning and ironing and end up immobile!
Guess it's sods law with having the classes sat. I've had on and off pelvis pain all through, but nothing that bad, ouch!
Ooh, picked up a travel cot while we were out saturday, only the Asda cheapy but it's lovely.Other half was astounded to see it unfold, he's not had much baby experience!

Lol I was 6 in 1990 :-P
I'm fed up, people are putting it snowed in some areas of Nottinghamshire last night and I REALLY want the baby out before I get stuck in the village!
Have a scan Friday - still hope they got dates wrong (was given 2 dates - 22nd and 26th, was told to go with 26th) I know its only 4 days but still!
DD is still in bed, she's not well. Normally she's snuck into my room by now to wake me so just laid waiting on her lol
37 weeks today x0 -
Can any of you that are already mums answer a question for me?
Acid reflux. Will it just go when baby arrives? Did any of you suffer with it and when did it stop after yo u had the baby
I have had it EVERY night for the last couple of weeks and it is really getting me down. I need to know if the end is near. I am not coping to well at the moment. Lower back hurts, acid reflux, struggling to eat and drink, skin is really sore, hip and lower back are killing ;-( feeling really low.
Oh and DD1 is home with a cough which also kept us wake last night
Hope you are all olkay:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

Morning all.
39+4.... beginning to feel it! Snowing all morning here, DH is away to work after making me promise not to leave the house at all as it's icy and slippy.... If I need anything I'm to text him. Fair enough- it's freezing, I'm definitely going nowhere!
Just thought, I'd said I haven't had any labour signs, not even a show? Does everyone have a show, or just some? I probably do know the answer, but it's too early.
Hugs Jen....0 -
As far as I remember from saturday's class, the midwife says there can be a big variety of amount/consistency of shows, so you might not get something you instantly recognise as one? But as far as I know, you might not get one before labour starts? She also said only 10% of waters break suddenly, most go later in labour, which was interesting.0

We've been to the hospital through the night, but got sent home again at 4.30am.
I went to bed at 9pm last night and by 9.30 was having really sharp stabbing pains in my groin/pubic bone. They were coming and going, really inconsistent in duration and length of time between each one. But I was only getting them when lying down and when I did have them baby was very very very active and kicking me loads. We phoned the hospital at 1.30am as we were getting worried that baby was in distress with all the kicking, plus the pains were really bad and I could hardly breath with them
So we were hooked up to the monitor, and guess what??? Not a single pain whilst I was hooked up  The minute she took me off the monitor and disappeared the pains started again but no where near as bad as they had been. She said my uterus looked irritable according to the monitor and I told her about my many loo trips the night before, so she suspected a UTI. One sample later and no sign of a UTI. Internal exam by Dr and cervix is closed but baby is "well engaged". We were discharged with the suggestion that it could be Braxton Hicks, but I thought with them the whole of your stomach went hard. We got home at 5am, and I can tell you, if that's Braxton Hicks I am glad to be having a section!!
I've still got slight pains and pressure in my groin, and I am absolutely shattered. Roll n Wednesday - 2 more sleeps, or none-sleeps :j0 -
Thanks! Have been up since 0400ish, it had just popped into my head I hadn't had a show. Or anything really! Would like waters not to break, as I'd like a waterbirth if it is possible.
WW, hope all iswell, you've had a rough night....0 -
Morning,
so its my first day of maternity leave..bored of waiting now, want to meet baby!
Lirin - not everyone has a show and this can happen a good few days before labour starts and is just an indication that labour may not be far away.
Hope everyone ok x0 -
I am exhausted. Went to bed late last night (10pm), as my cat was nicely curled up on my lap and I didn't want to disturb him! Woke up at 6.30am with the heaviest hail we had so far banging the windows (the ground is still white). And now I am struggling to sit at my desk and can't breath in enough air (can't explain this - but I get this when I am overtired and haven't had enough rest). Have to go to the office tomorrow, so it is 5.30 start - not looking forward to that, checked this morning's train and it was going 1 hour late!!!!!
So work today and tomorrow, and then on Wednesday we have dating + NT scan, and I am taking the rest of the day off. Maybe will get some Christmas shopping sorted.
Oh, and we went to a baby shop yesterday! I think we saw the pushchair that we like, there was another couple expecting twins being shown it, so we stayed around and watched, and then had a play ourselves - it is Baby Jogger City Select. They had iCandy Peach blossom as well, but it just felt so tedious to fold/unfold and only last to about 18 months, plus costs ~£400 more than Baby Jogger, cannot face forward, the baby closes to you is at the bottom with no view, that I think that was discounted by us straight away. We didn't like side by side ones - they are so wide. The BJ with the seat units, cots, car seats, adapters, raincovers, footmuffs came to just over £1000. A lot, but it was good thing that OH was there and saw it all for himself - he would have never believed if I was telling him these things! They had some cheaper ones, like Graco, etc, but those where not suitable from birth. And with this one, if we ever want to take just one baby out, we are not stuck with the double pushchair as it also works as a single!
Now, where is my money pot - I need it to grow a bit more...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
