Jannine, congrats on the birth of poppy, glad to hear she's doing well after her early arrival.
Kira, I so want to work in your building! I'm intruiged to know what you do now to get to work somewhere so posh!!! My work place is errrmmm....interesting!! Imagine the dirtiest, dustiest, loudest place you can imagine then multiply it by about 10 and you might be close!! I work in heavy industry but I'm now office bound due to the high electromagnetic fields we have on site so i'm now in an office with a carpet and a radiator for the first time in over 7 years!! I feel like I'm in complete luxury....It'd be even better if they turned the heating on occasionally!!0 -
Congrats Janine :j I'm pleased to hear little Poppy is doing well and hope you managed to get some mummy cuddles last night :cool:along with the 8 remaining bank holidays of 2012 into 2013.
There are 9 Bank Holidays in 2012, an extra one for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee :jI look like a cave woman gone wrong most days because I just can't be bothered putting any effort in to getting ready.
Gilly, that sounds like me on a good day :rotfl:
Anyone else on Mat Leave, do people keep asking if you are bored? Everyone I speak to asks if I am bored yet? I haven't got time to be bored, it takes me 3 times as long to do anything! I haven't got enough energy or hours in the day
I've got a midwife appointment this morning, then need to go to Asda, then to drop my BIL's birthday card off, I might pop in and see my mam and then when I get home I might give the kitchen a good clean or have a snooze. By that time OH will be heading home and wanting fed, dishes done, shower then bed.0 -
Oh dear. Just discovered that our Milk man delivers 48 piece boxes of Toffifee. Can now order and stuff myself without having to go shopping for them. Could be very dangerous. I suppose the upside is he only delivers three times a week, so at least i cant order them for every day!!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

I will still be working in January so will be taking 2nd Jnauary New Years Day bank holiday
Thanks, I very carefully counted and re-counted to make sure I wasn't missing out - I had to correct my manager and our HR about the extra day too!Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -

Jannine. Congratulations. Hope you and baby are both well. Xx
Well, thought we'd decided on pram. Got a silver cross one on a babyplan with Mothercare, and already have a new cabriofix.
Now one of my friends says she's selling her Mylo with the carrycot and stand. She only wants £150 for it and I'm soooo tempted to buy it.
Can't find the paperwork for Baby Plan though, anyone know what happens to the money I've paid already if I cancel it?
Wish I wasn't so indecisive lol. X
Go with mylo! Theyre amazing, not that I'm biasgood price, although the cabriofix wont fit onto it
only M&P carseats do.
Morning all, still in bed, do I get up or notThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

I got up
Virgin guy is coming out today to fix our phone line that's been broken for 5 weeks!! Kept telling us it was our phone, when it clearly wasn't. It's so miserable here today, I've had to put lights on because of how dark and dreary it is, I want to go back to bed!

I got some breakfast and grabbed the laptop and headed back to bed - it's grim here too today. I've got to venture out in a bit though as going to the dentist
I'm such a wuss I hate the dentist.
Then I need to hunt down a new hose-tap connector - our birth pool turned up yesterday but it the connector it came with doesn't fit our taps. Starting to panic slightly, really want to labour/give birth in water so we need to get it sorted asap!
Quick question re perineal massage.... Could you do this with ahem, something other than your thumbs/fingers (ie a vibrator)?0 -
Does anyone know if labour wards have Tens machines? They want me to go in as soon as things start, so before I'd need the pain relief, so as I'm there will they have something to use? Or should I still hire one?
Congrats Jannine! Must be scary when things happen early, but great when the little ones are fighters & it sounds like she's doing well! x:j - DS - 7
