okay peeps any advice on whether i should sleep in a freshly painted bedroom. it has been painted with emulsion and gloss paint.
I could sleep on the sofa but it is further to the toilets lol
Should i sleep in the painted room??
as long as it isnt lead based (old paint might be) then its perfectly safe to sleep in there. but the smell might make you sick.0 -

For me, 4 days "in the office" (but meetings all cancelled for Weds so going to work at home that day anyway). Then another 15 working days of working at home, emails and tele-conferences.
Cant wait for next week- working from home will save me 2.5-3.5 hours a day of driving, and our offices are HUGE, with an undercover tree lined "street" down the middle complete with artificial stream running through it. These days takes about 15 mins to walk from one end to the other if my meetings are in the other end of the building, and that's if there aren't any level changes!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Do you know what paint it was?? The prob with gloss, is that it often has VOCs (volatile organic compounds) which make it durable and glossy, but are not good esp for pregnant women and children. They are a bit like spray can fumes..
If you know the paint you can look and see the level of VOC. If it is VOC free, or low VOC, you are fine. Med/High VOC should carry a warning on the tin..
We spent an age looking for non VOC gloss when we were decorating earlier in the PG, total night mare!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Hi Ladies,
Just wanted to quickly pop in and share my news!
I had my baby girl on Thursday November 24th at 9.43pm. Poppy was born at 28+6 weeks by emergency c-section and weighs 2lb exactly!
She is doing well and is in the neonatal unit at my local hospital. She is breathing for herself with just a small amount of oxygen to help.
I developed pre-eclampsia which resulted in the emergency section, was an incredibly scary time, but delivery was the only option. I've just been discharged today, but will be spending plenty of time at the hospital with Poppy.
Hope all are OK and will read back and add my birth story when I get chance.
Take Care.

Ginvzt - can you take the approach that maternity leave is an exceptional circumstance that won't be repeated again anytime soon? Perhaps with this viewpoint your employer may consider allowing you to carry forward more holiday.
I'd rather take them before and not have to argue wit them after. I m expecting twins, if all goes well, and for that reason I don't want to keep going to th office much past 30-31 weeks. If I can last tha long!
Oh well, will wait & see!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
