Hi ladies, hope you're all ok today and had good weekends?
My weekend was lovely - caught up with friends on Saturday and even made it out in town until almost 11pm! I was initially just going to drop OH in and leave, but thought I'd pop and say hi to people as I knew it might be a while before I see some of our pals again and ended up staying out for a couple of hours!
Then Sunday I laid in bed chatting in the phone until lunchtime while OH did the errandsthen we went for lunch and round to my mum's for a surprise baby shower! Which was great - all my fave girlies in one room, had a lovely time!
Our birth pool arrived today, so OH and I are going to set it up tonight and then I will be getting in it every day (whilst its empty) and practising my hypno stuff.
Quite liking this maternity leave malarky, had lunch with a friend today and got various other pottering about to do this week. Going to try and work out what films and TV programmes I can record so that I've got a good stock ready for vegging out and also for during labour!
Just wondering, those of you who have done some batch cooking, what did you make? I can only think of mince-based dishes (bolognese, chilli, shep pie etc) and would like to vary it up a bit. Not a huge soup fan and that's the only other thing I can think of!
Anyway, hope you're all well!

Icey, I think you might have a problem taking your Bank Holidays before you have accrued them. HR will probably say that when you leave you will be entitled to be paid for any accrued.0

They could say the same with the annual leave as well. But since I am taking the full year off, and they are not going to be told that I am not coming back (you never know, I might change my mind), I will try. They do not allow to carry over holidays now (well, they are letting 5 days this year) and stamping hard on this, so I am not willing to leave my annual leave till after the maternity and then not get any. Oh well, as long as I get them I should be happy. I just can't wait to stop working and get some more rest and sorting out stuff around the house (not just baby things!).Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
I have been lurking on this thread for a while, can I join?? Do I update the list myself or is there someone in particular that does it? I always thought this was a "further along" thread but I don't think it is. I was just thinking if I lurk so much on all the threads others probably do too, hence the message in my sig.
I am nearly 15 weeks and due 22nd May. It is my first.
