    Silly question time!

I just noticed (it was pretty much overnight) i have the linea nigra . it goes from my belly button down all the way. i didn't think it happened so early? it's my first pregnancy and i'm 17+3 today

edit - i just told my husband and he asked if it's related to chocolate consumption! cheeky ****

Think it must really vary on the individual hun because I'm on my fourth pregnancy and never had the line x

Glad missymoo and annabella managed to get the breast pumps.

I've had a good look at mines, wasn't gonna open it, but I couldn't resist. It's very snazzy :p

jenjade I wouldn't worry too much, my friend only had a manual medela and she loved that.

haha it's the lure of a bargain, I'd be the same. I'm starting to panic I have like 10 weeks max probably to get organised, and we still need to get sooo much stuff.

Supposed to be going shopping tomorrow but I can't be bothered with Saturday shoppers so going to the Christmas Continental Markets instead :D

It's such a good bargain... :D plus I had a few £s left on my Amazon account from a gift voucher I got for my birthday so it knocked it down to £60... Even with my staff discount I'd only get £12 or so knocked off at Boots so it doesn't even come close to the Black Friday price...

The Christmas Market sounds good Gilly, hope you have a good time :D

I don't have anything planned for tomorrow, what with it being the last weekend before payday. Am doing some Christmas card-making with some friends on Sunday so tomorrow is going to just be pootling around the house I think.

I've been doing my natal hypnotherapy CD since 28 weeks, now been using the 32weeks+ birth prep CD part of it for a few weeks. I don't know how much to attribute to the CD, and how much is just me, but at the mo, i'm feeling quite relaxed about the birth thing, to the point of (in a very wierd way!) actual looking forward to it!!!! Obviously i know its not a walk in the park, but i've been trying to "relax into" the whole idea it is going to happen, and that the more relaxed and at ease i am, the easier it will be. Gonna keep up with the CD, and see what occurs really.

Kira is the hypnobirthing thing just music or is there talking on it too? i like the idea of nice soothing music but if they were talking to me too I'd get annoyed!!

just wondered which oil you are supposed to use for the perinium massage and when you should start doing it please?

Had this discussion at aquanatal with the midwife yesterday!

She said, start ASAP, its never too early.

Use almond oil if you like - providing you dont have a nut allergy! But the current advice up here (due to allergies!) is regular sunflower/vegetable cooking oil. Wont do you any harm and achieves the same results as expensive lotions and potions.

The thing i got is a set- a cd with just the music they use, no talking. They recommend listening to this during the pregnancy so bean gets used to it and will find it soothing when they are born, plus they recommend it as the best thing to listen to during labour.

There is also a cd for pregnancy relaxation, you should use throughout to learn the relaxation techniques for during the birth. Yes, this is talking, over music/sounds but i dont find the speaking annoying.

There is another cd which is for 32 weeks plus, which is talking and music too, and focuses on body changes and relaxation during labour.

The final disc is another talking/music one, which is for post-birth and is supposed to aid fast recovery and coping with the early days..

You can buy it online, but often find it on ebay at a bit of a saving. There are a few versions, one for hospital birth, one for C section (if you know you are having a planned C), one for planned homebirths and even a version for twins/multiple births!
