I love the idea of a 0-1 year thread, strangely enough I was thinking something similar in bed last night, like why isn't there a thread for newborns etc, but I wouldn't have a clue how to set one up. Do you just start a new thread?
See, great minds think alike! I think its just setting up a new thread yes, not tricky. Just need to decide on what to write on the first post!:)
Not sure also when the best time to do it is. Obv, i'm not due just yet, so don't know if its too soon for me to do it.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Gilly - try taking some ginger biscuits with you for the train journey my elderly neighbour says that during the war troops were issued with them on long journeys for travel sickness.
Lirin - re the headaches if paracetamol does not shift the headaches might be worth checking with mw/gp just in case its raised bp, you probably already know this but just in case x x
Kira - not sure what I would do either re new thread timingmmmmmm

Im on the train now, about half way there. Im sipping water and had an alpen bar. Made sure I took my coat off when I got on too. Listening to the radio on the way down and some music came on and I could have blubbed, kinda hit me that my clubbing days are over, which I'm not that gutted about but hearing the music just made me feel gahhh

Have had a couple of nights out this week which has been a nice novelty, last ones for a while I imagine! Was a hen party meal on Thurs night which was nice, but came home feeling sooooooo massive and fit to burst (that's reasonably normal but this was a whole new level!).
And last night I went (got dragged along to) the cinema to watch the new Twilight. Am really not into the whole hype, but my 2 bessie mates are obsessed so have tried to get into it for them. Spent last Fri night watching the old 3 one after the other until 1am! Without spoiling the story for anyone who hasn't seen it or read the book, there's a 'birth' bit in it which for some reason made me feel really funny, hot, dizzy and a bit queasy. So I got up to get some fresh air as I really thought I was going to faint or puke which would not have been a good look! Having not read the book, I didn't realise it was right near the end anyway so about 2 mins later everyone came out; had I known I would have waited and not looked like a weird loon!
Think there should be some kind of 'PG' Pregnancy Guidance - not suitable for those about to give birth in a few weeks!Little lady arrived 13/12/110 -
Hey all
It took me ages to read back. I love the way food slips into the conversation on this thread so easily!!
Gilly- I had a fast labour with DD1 and it is not the best thing. I phoned my mum at 8.30 to tell her we were going to the hospital (just round the corner) then phoned her at 9.10 am to tell her she has a grand daughter. this was followed by a trip in the ambulance with sirens to a larger hospital for stitches for a 3rd degree tear and i was boarderline on a blood transfusion! might take it a bit slower this time!
Ro- sorry to hear that you are feeling ache and uncomfortable feel free to moan away that's what the thread is for ;-)
Lirin- Sorry to hear you are in so much pain my hip is hurting more and more and it is not helping that baby has moved to the right which is the hip that hurts. Glad the heat helps you.
WW- Yeah maternity leave for you. I love your pressie ;-) Lucky you.
Kira- Try not to feel guilty about not being there for your mum. It is tough but if you are not well enough then there is no point in being there and you are offering her support and love from where you are it's not like you dont care. It's a really tricky situation.
Missymoo- Hope all has gone well and you are enjoying cuddles with your baby
I got a small gift from work and a card (printed off the pc) I dont mean to be ungrateful but i have worked for them for 6 years! and feel a bit crappy partly because i am not intending to go back so i felt like a leaving meal or something would have been nice. But the team has changed a lot over the past year so most of them have only been working with me for 3 months! lol I am pregnant so they cant please me.
My baby has half turned which really hurt and she seems to keep trying to turn the rest of the way which is painful. ;-(
SPD suffers do you find when you get under dressed in the evenings lifting your feet off the floor is nearly impossible?? lifting my right leg just doesnt happen.
As for the thread for newborns etc great idea although i would go for the largest age range as people can advice new mums about things they have been through. maybe 0-1 years or even 0-2 years? wouldnt want the ages to tight or people won;t use it to much. Just click start new thread and go!
Hope you are all coping with your aches today.:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

My boobs are itchy, constantly, they have claws marks all over now and are always red and rashy because I won't stop scratching. They're not stretching either, it's only my back size getting bigger.
My head was thumping last night Lirin, actually resorted to taking 2 paracetemol for it, which I've really avoided during pregnancy.
Not looking forward to this train journey today, every time I get on a train I feel sick and nauseous
I can sympathise re the itchy boobs. Try lots of moisturiser
Re the train journey, take a bottle of water and some fruity boiled sweets. That always helps me x:happyloveBaby girl born 27/2/12:happylove

It sucks, you never want a fanfare when you're leaving- all your workmates lining the path to your car, cheering etc.... but you would hope you get even an acknowledgment that you've left. Makes you feel appreciated. The problem in my work is that really, it is Nice who pulls everyone together. If he's off, I've walked into the office and heard not a single word spoken for hours. Nasty doesn't do a lot for staff morale.... At least you got something! Someone noticed.
Getting undressed- I can lift my left leg ok, up to maybe halfway up my shin? My right leg- not a chance. If I'm really sore, I can barely lift it a few cm....DH is handy for that- I sit in the chair after pushing everything down to my knees, and he pulls it off the rest of the way. Maybe not dignified, but with impending labour, which I doubt would be anywhere close to dignified- I don't care at this stage! :rotfl:Physio told me most SPD sufferers had problems with their left side- but on here most seem to be on the right side! Jen, do you find your leg can drag a bit sometimes during the day?
Quick walk around Tesco and a car boot sale, and I'm done. I feel like I've completed a marathon- feel so very heavy now!0 -
oh yeah my leg drags! it is like it is wooden and not connected to my body. mine is my right as well
the hardest thing to get my leg to do is if i lie on the sofa and try to lift my right leg and bring it closer to my left leg it kills and it wont do it. makes my hip hurt too:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

Exactly the same here- my right leg feels twisted. On the plus side, you feel as if you've done exercise!
I have to get DH to help me now if i'm lying down, no matter how hard I try I can't get up at all sometimes.... Bit of a pain during the middle of the night. Physio recommended sitting half upright, but when I tried that my legs kept going numb. Just feel bruised constantly.
I'm back with her on Tuesday, so I'll ask then. If she recommends anything that helps, I'll pass it on to you!0 -
Had a bit of a crappy day
went out with OHs mum and everything I looked at was a waste of money or 'too' much. I want a sturdy cotbed that will last but I should just get the cheapest rathe than one I actually like. It's not like I'm being unreasonable, £200 is a good price I'd say. Feel like crap now, like a materialistic cow.
