Thanks ladies... the whole mum thing is just stress i dont need right now with my hormones all over the place. I'm trying to not let it get to me as i know she doesnt really mean to make me feel bad, it is just her being scared and frustrated. She was a bit horrified that she upset me so much on the phone yesterday, its just that it all built up her end, and i was on the phone at the wrong time and got the full whack. I did get an apology later on and she did say its not that she expects me to go up there for the afternoon/evening when she comes out of surgery given the distance and my big bump, its just the idea of being there alone scaring her. Which i totally understand.

Just seem to be a wafer away from tearful most of the time atm, wierd feeling! Not helped today when the loan car i picked up today when i dropped my busted one off to be fixed, has turned out to be the crappiest tin can ever. Its a basic 1l chevrolet, petrol thing, with a knacked clutch, so you have to rev it to about 3k rpm to pull away in first. Feels like pulling away in 3rd, and the power steering is well, under powered so now i have bump ache from straining at the wheel. DH got the benefit of full on tears and wobby chin as we drove back, so now feels even more guilty that i have this for somewhere upto 2 weeks.

Lirin, you are right about having more important things with bean arriving soon- I'm not expecting or wanting presents from work, but some acknowledgement that i'm off for 6 months would be nice! I can but dream. :)

On the plus side, i have a tub of HD Dulce de leche icecream calling my name... and 3 more tubs arriving in the sainsbo's order tomorrow as its half price at the moment! nomnom nom

Ooh that's not what I meant, I hope it didn't come across like that :( I meant we can all offload in here, it's a good thing, as it means we're not nagging the pants off our partners/friends/other family members. We're all sort of in the same boat here, and even though it's only over a screen, can help support each other :o

No, S'ok Gilly. i didnt read it that way, I just feel bad for just winging on all the time! Miserable wobbly lip moo that i am ATM. See, i'm even getting tearful now! Ridiculous! :)

I dont know what i would do without you all! Coming on and catching up with all the days posts is my post work highlight! I know there is a parents thread, but i'm thinking that maybe it would be nice to have a new parents thread to transition to from this one? The main parents thread just seems so grown up and talking about things so far in the future, that maybe an in betweeny one for newborn/little ones would be nice?

Sounds like a good idea actually, there's loads of us due from late Dec into Feb. :)

I have a splitting head ache today and I know its because I've felt "stuffy" all day, not cold though so don't particularly want to open windows. The hospital was stifling, I honestly think I'll be giving birth in the nude if it's as warm come February. :rotfl:

Well there is a little job for me/us at some point then! Get it all set up and ready to go!;) Maybe when its done, we should add it as a link to the list page.

LOL at the temperature thing. I'm sooooo hot at the mo. DH and I went for lunch yesterday with his parents at a restaurant local to us. I met them there as i was coming from work, and them walking from our place. I was just in trousers and a top, and they turned up with gilets and coats, or tops, jumpers and coats. I keep fogging up my car windows with my body temperature too!:)

  • I'm up for a 'New baby' thread, 0-1year?
I'll want all the support I can get then, I know that bit is lots worse than pregnancy!!
After that it's alot more fun & it gets better & better! (In my opinion anyway!)

Had my growth scan the other day, 5lb13oz (34+4) they say that is just above average, but I'm sure that sounds big!
We've decided to go natural, try labour & birth, but any complications then whipped straight of for another c-sec. No way am I going through what I did last time, to end up having a c-sec anyway!

Also booked in for Jan 4th for c-sec, so if he's not here by then (+10days) he's coming out! Would have been booked for 6/7days but New yrs & bank hols.

I'm glad I was listened to, but whether it'll happen when in labour I don't know. Feel a bit better, but scared of labour now! I've done 90% of it, it's just the crowning I missed (lol!) is that the worst bit? Tearing etc? or is the labour process more traumatic?
