This is the one I've got twigpig...

    http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-electric-steam-steriliser_924136/

All it says is that it fits 6 'wide-necked bottles' so theoretically they could be any brand I reckon. One of the reviewers says they've put Dr Browns, Avent and Boots bottles in it.

Edit - I've just looked at the Avent and Tommee Tippee sterilisers, and neither of them mention they can take other brand bottles (although I wouldn't expect the advertising blurb to say that!) but no reviews that I have seen mention it either. Doesn't mean they wouldn't take other bottles, probably just that measurement-wise they're 'made' to fit their own bottles.

The tommee tippee steriliser is £23 in Mothercare at the moment, think it's half price! And no think most if they're big steriliser's would fit others, I can have a go at sticking other bottles into mines if you want and see if they fit? :o

Lirin there you are, thought you'd disappeared, if this yucky weather goes away and you're up to it, we can do coffee some time next week? If baby hasn't made an appearance :p

Well the pushchair can be used from birth, so it's not the worst. The Quinny was our second choice, it was £380 from the shop we priced it in, including the cabrio fix, which I thought was really good.

If bought from kiddicare with carry cot, and then buy say the pebble car seat from Boots, it's working out about £350, for a travel system, decent. Half the price of ours  which annoys me slightly now :o

I prefer to have a carry cot in the early days to be honest,as the baby seems quite exposed in pushchair mode(esp when she'll be born in feb). It also annoys me how you even have to pay seperate for a shopping basket. Things like that should be included surely??

Oh me too, I prefer carry cot too, said in another thread, what's even worse than push chair is babies all scrunched up in car seats on top of the pram. It's a familiar sight these days too. :( Our pram was a lot of money, and the only things we got was carry cot, pushchair, car seat, adaptors and rain cover.

If we want the cosy toes its £78  £80 for the changing bag. and I think about £60 for the saddle bag, which is the equivelent of a shopping basket I guess. it's crazy.

Would love to. Hadn't been posting regularly as all I was doing was moaning- last night was the first I 'slept' in three days- I got about 4 hours!
Getting cabin fever to be honest!

I got my boss to practically IV drip coffee into me.... the caffeine content I wasn't worried about as our work vending machine isn't really coffee- more boiling brown water.
TBH, it's left me feeling a little frazzled- I've stood in shops before and can't choose between two things, then end up getting teary because I can't choose which ruddy can of beans I want! Really stupid. Plus, I've a constant headache.
Got a compliment of sorts yestarday. :) Little girl walking towards me with her dad- 'Daddy, I think that lady's having a baby. It's not just fat because it's only her tummy.' :rotfl:
  • OK ladies, I'm back from the MW and...

Couldn't get a sweep today as for some reason she could move baby's head, which we couldn't do six and three weeks ago! So booked into the consultant clinic on Tues morning for one, then to discuss a date to get induced.

But she did say that hopefully the pains mean that natural labour is on its way.

I couldn't decide what cereal I wanted the other week. I was stood in the aisle at the supermarket, getting frustrated with myself because I couldn't decide between porridge or shreddies. I ended up getting nothing and walking off in a huff, with OH following on with the trolley, bewildered at what all the fuss was about...

:rotfl: at the little girl, how cute! Definitely a compliment :D

Amazon have it about the same price. Rang my friend and they think I can get 40/50% off via their friend, so I've asked them to check on that before I buy anything. I think I'm going to go with Tommee Tippee anyway - thanks for all the help..

I have those days in the supermarket too where I just don't know what I want and end up buying nothing in a huff :rotfl:
(ps - just had an iced bun) :D
