I've asked on the 12-24 thread but thought I'd ask here too.....
What brand of bottles is everyone going for? I've not bought a steriliser yet, as I guess the bottle brand determines which one to buy and I don't know what to buy? I'm going to try breatfeeding, but will express after a few weeks, so will need bottles. I guess a steriliser would be good for dummies so should I decide on the brand and buy bottles and steriliser now? (confused!)TTC #3..........0 -
That's an amazing price for a Quinny. You can buy the carrycot separately too, if people were keen on getting that
I replied on 12-24 twigpigbut I'd say avent or tommee tippee.

I've got a bit of a selection of bottles, depending on what I found on offer in the staff shop at the time. I've got a couple of Avent, a couple Tommee Tippee and a pack of Dr Browns as well. We've got a Boots own brand steriliser (as I think most types of bottle will fit in it). The more important thing I think is to get bottles which have a teat that is similar in size/shape to your own nipple, as that will help baby take to the bottle if you have been breastfeeding.:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0

I have bought tomme tippe because u can get a whole kit/kaboodle for £60 http://www.mothercare.com/Tommee-Tippee-Feeding-Sterilisation-Set/dp/B0051N5E84?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_1&nodeId=44552031&sr=1-1&qid=1321538879&pf_rd_r=0P9QNAATNJQ68RAVPX77&pf_rd_m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=44552031&pf_rd_p=231490867&pf_rd_s=related-tab-3-5

seafarers_wife wrote: »Toniq, im loving the pregnant diabeties after i got over the initial shock of it. the reason for this is ive had 3 extra scans so far so get to see baby much more than normal as they are growth scans to check baby isnt getting to big.
after the initial struggle to get my blood sugar under control (initially tried diet control but it didnt quite work, so now on tablets which are doing the job perfectly) the clinic saw me every 2 weeks for the first few apts, but now im down to seeing them when i see the consultant.
the biggest reason why im loving it is because they wont let me go overdue and are inducing me early, which means baby will be here before christmas and there will be none of that waiting around wondering if today is going to be the day and going stir crazy if i did happen to go overdue.
the thing that ive found the best at helping me to control my numbers is a food diary and regular meal times. ive found if i eat dinner later on in the evening, i get a high fasting number, but if i eat around 5/6 my fasting number is generally ok the next morning.
Thank u so so much for this post, it makes me feel less alone in all of this xxxx#JusticeForGrenfell0 -

Its a good price at first but when you add all the other stuff...not so. This is kind of what put me off getting quinny tbh. Thanks anyway for the link OP x:happyloveBaby girl born 27/2/12:happylove

Well the pushchair can be used from birth, so it's not the worst. The Quinny was our second choice, it was £380 from the shop we priced it in, including the cabrio fix, which I thought was really good.
If bought from kiddicare with carry cot, and then buy say the pebble car seat from Boots, it's working out about £350, for a travel system, decent. Half the price of ours  which annoys me slightly nowThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Thanks gilly, 4annabella & toniq - I have a friend of a friend who works for tommee tippee so I can get a bit of a discount, so will check that out more. I didn't realise that Boots have their own steriliser. I thought they were all branded to fit your make of bottle. Daft question number 1 coming up - It is only the Boots steriliser that would fit a few different types of bottles?TTC #3..........0

Bought a little pair of prewalkers in Tesco.... They scanned through at 4p!
I have a pressure on my right hip- it's Hitch, has been sitting there for ages......
It's boring just sitting waiting! It's weird thinking that in just over a month- max, if Iwent overdue and was induced- that I'll be trying not to drop the baby!0
