Sending hugs to Janninew and Toniq!
My check yesterday was mostly fine, but they've found protein and white blood cells in my urine which might mean a urine infection. They've had to send the sample off for more tests. I'm a bit confused though as surely I'd know if I'd got an infection???? I also have a really sore arm after the anti-D, it's gone all hard and painful in that areaI had a really nasty reaction last time I had a tetanus jab, so I'm hoping it'll just settle down soon and not do the same thing...

Not sure what date yet xxx I'm not too concerned as baby was totally fine on scan and measuring fine, so I can't see how it could have affected her this early on xx#JusticeForGrenfell0

Bluebell, I nearly always have protein in my urine yet feel fine and not like I have an infection! Last week I saw my MW in the morning who checked my sample and said nothing was detected, I then went to the anti-natal clinic in the afternoon and the Consultant said I had protein and leucocytes in my afternoon sample! All this is the space of a few hours! If you do have an infection though, you will just get anti-biotics to clear it up. I've also found doing a mid stream sample usually means my urine is tested clear.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Hugs to toniq,
Its always worrying when things start to get complicated, but the way I'm looking at it is the Docs are aware now and will monitor you more closely, which can only be a good thing. Plus you get to meet baby girl a few weeks early and won't have the dreaded wait if you go overdue!
I'm sat here and I've just counted that I've had the grand total of 12 scans so far this pregnancy and I'm only 28 weeks gone! Going in this afternoon for my weekly doppler scan and to get my blood pressure checked.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

I know on this thread we often have posts that may contain tmi for other threads but its a good place to ask as we are all going through it!
I don't know if I'm the only one but recently dtd with hubby has gotten really uncomfortable and always leaves me feeling sore down below. We usually are very active in the bedroom and I don't want to stop totally as I believe its good for a relationship and can keep you close. I did ask the midwife who had a quick check, but couldn't see any problems or infection. She thinks it may be all in my head as I'm worried about baby, this could be true even though I know baby is perfectly safe up there!
Maybe its just part of being pregnant and another discomfort! :rotfl::heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Toniq, im loving the pregnant diabeties after i got over the initial shock of it. the reason for this is ive had 3 extra scans so far so get to see baby much more than normal as they are growth scans to check baby isnt getting to big.
after the initial struggle to get my blood sugar under control (initially tried diet control but it didnt quite work, so now on tablets which are doing the job perfectly) the clinic saw me every 2 weeks for the first few apts, but now im down to seeing them when i see the consultant.
the biggest reason why im loving it is because they wont let me go overdue and are inducing me early, which means baby will be here before christmas and there will be none of that waiting around wondering if today is going to be the day and going stir crazy if i did happen to go overdue.
the thing that ive found the best at helping me to control my numbers is a food diary and regular meal times. ive found if i eat dinner later on in the evening, i get a high fasting number, but if i eat around 5/6 my fasting number is generally ok the next morning.0 -
janninew, we stopped dtd a long time ago but are intimate in other ways, as i ache and hurt like anything afterwards, dont know if its because of spd or what but i think its just one of those pregnancy things now.0

Hello All
Mozzy/Twigpig - err feel like its like moving a ship and the crew or being one of those turtles that is on its back arms and legs wriggling and just not getting anywherejust wriggling on my back *trying* to get up!
Toniq - ((hugs)) Sorry to hear you are having trouble with the diabetes and anaemia, I know what you mean about the iron tabs, I have just tipped in to the anaemic bracket but doc giving me 4 weeks to try and improve it with spatone but may well end up on iron tabs like you, have had them in the past so sympathies. Hope they get your diabetes under control and your iron levels better soon. If you are going to have your LO in mid jan then that will not be far from my due date which is the 18th!
Jannine - I think your hubby is not doing too bad !!! mine is a bit neglected on that front only the occasional special cuddlebut no dtd for a while now! If you are getting sore perhaps a different position so he does not poke () too far depending on which bit of you is getting sore! or failing that tell him to slow down tiger!! :rotfl:
Bumpmakes4 - oh dear ((hugs))
Bluebell - ((hugs)) I have not had a uti before but try not to worry as they can give you something if need be to get rid of it and hope your arm settles.
