I only told my own team at work 'officially', for everyone else at work I've just let it filter out slowly, not actually telling people but I assume the fact that I now have a sizeable bump is pretty obvious... Well, I say that but I was in the ladies yesterday washing my hands and a girl who works in one of the buying teams came in. I've always got on with her ok, we normally stop and chat for a few mins if we bump into each other around the building, so when she came into the toilets we did the usual 'hi, how are you?' thing, then she paused just as she was going into the cubicle and said 'can I just check, you are actually pregnant, aren't you?' I almost burst out laughing, I didn't realise people still weren't sure, I just assumed it was pretty obvious by now! :rotfl: I jokingly said 'no, I've just got really fat' as it was the first thing that came into my head! We then chatted about it a bit more and I said that I am 6 and a half months gone now, but it was so surprising that someone could still be unsure as to whether I am or not... I was a relatively slim 12/14 before, I'd lost a fair amount of weight and had managed to lose a lot of my little jelly belly so it's not like I had much in the way of extra padding that could be confusing things... It just tickled me
Anyway... Good morning everyone, hope you all have a lovely Saturday!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
morning, fell back to sleep for a couple of hours but feel wretched, really need to go to my tutorial though, so should really get my ar$£ out of bed, studying whilst being this pregnant is really not the best idea in the world!! Looks a bit chilly out, lots of people with coats and hats on.
We too are in the builders club, although ours to do rendering outside, but having a builder turn up at 8 on a saturday is not fun! OH is dealing with him, I can't be doing that today. Trying to think og something to wear..... all of my clothes no longer really seem to fit!!
arrrgghhh is it bed time yet!?0 -
Grrrr....
Still awake and i'm sooo tired i can hardly focus my eyes. I have hideous acid reflux, i can taste it in my mouth, and every time i lie "down", its all in my throat making me choke. i say lie "down", but that is propped up with 5 pillows. Even tried sitting up on the edge of the bed, propped leaning forward against the wall, but no do's. Rennies and Gaviscon not helping.
Given in and come downstairs for a glass of milk and to try reclining on the sofa. Fingers crossed. Hope the rest of you are sleeping ok.
Morning,
I have been really suffering from heartburn and acid and have been sleeping very badly as a result. I spoke to my doctor who perscribed some tablets begining with R and I started taking them yesterday and have actually got some sleep last night and feel so much better- would recommend asking for some. hth.0 -

Just popping in from 12 - 24, my DH thinks I'm mad for not telling all my colleagues but I really don't like a fuss and I quite like keeping it to myself and him while we can hence family have been asked not to put anything on FB yet, glad others are letting it 'filter' too!0 -

Thanks Missy. I fell asleep for a doze about 4am, and it lasted maybe 45 mins before i was woken by my bladder being trampled big time. Then couldnt get back to sleep on the sofa. Went to bed about 7am when DH got up to watch F1 practice and then i got up about half an hour ago, so managed about 4 hours max since 10pm.
Sorry you got woken by your OH's phone. Its hard enough to get to sleep with a huge bump so how annoying is it to be woken up again.. He better make it up to you today then!
Good luck doing your bits and pieces today.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

I've been lying awake trying to think of baby names, DH and I both kept our own names when we married, and I've always told him my child would have my name, as we both have pretty sucky surnames. I've often thought about changing to Jackson, which is my nanna's name, but most people knew I used to be a big Michael Jackson fan, which would be annoying to explain. I also really like Jackson as a first name for a boy. My other current choice are Sebastian Adam S....... Or Lily Anya S......
I've got a feeling I'm just going to start obsessing about random stuff in the middle of the night for the rest of my pregnancy. 28/40 today!
I'm going to be seeing many friends and acquaintances today, who I should probably tell I'm pregnant, but I find it really hard to spit the words out. I'm already a chunky monkey, so I might just say nothing and let them presume I've just put on weight in my stomach, ironically I've lost about 3 stone since the last time I saw most of them.
Jackson was one of my options as a first name, being a huge fan of MJ since I was 9 years old. Hubby wasn't keen so we settled on Dexter Michael, but it turns out we are having a girl LOL.:)
Have a good weekend all. Going out for lunch today, then a trip to B&Q:happyloveBaby girl born 27/2/12:happylove

oh dear today has not got off to the best start.
Yesterday evening my ankles we itchy and really hot. when other half came round at 8pm i got him to take my trainers and socks off and my ankles were HUGE! talk about swelling it was quite shocking to look at. Anyway went to bed and today they arent as bad. I phoned the midwife as they always ask if i have any swelling so though i better let them know.
Got to go in and get my blood pressure done at 2.30 as swelling is linked to high blood pressure!
Not to happy about that!:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

Clothing- I've lately adopted the green Mothercare dress that I bought awhile ago- trousers are starting to feel uncomfortable now, I'm starting to find I dislike anything covering bump,or sitting on it. The dress is nice and light, so easy to wear.
Jen, hope you're alright and not too uncomfortable.0 -
Morning ladies....
Hope that you're all well. Hubby and I are going for to the cinema today. It'll be nice to head out for a while without any risk of falling asleep, lol.
We managed to get the cot built last night. It looks bigger than I thought it would! It's lovely though. Just need OH and BIL to take the spare sofa out of the baby's room now so we can actually move in the room, lol. Wardrobe, drawers and cot now sorted. Nursing chair should be here in the next week or two, then it will just leave all the little bits (decoration etc). Really want to get it finished before xmas
OH, and hubby kept laughing at me trying to "heave" myself" off the floor whilst we were building the cot. I must have looked ridiculous :rotfl:TTC #3..........0 -
