It's so funny, I can't stop watching it now :o I thought the occasional little movement I could see was amazing.

Hello sorry for not having time to read posts. What size hospital bag do you ladies plan on taking with you. I know I'm in for at least 4 days so need a reasonable amount of baby grows etc but I had hoped to take a cabin size suitcase (so rather small) but No way will it all fit. I've gone through the MSE list and I haven't added anything. I haven't even included things for the extra days stay. I've bought mini shampoo etc so no idea where I've gone wrong but my next size up suitcase seems massive.

    Any ideas please?

I have packed 2 bags, one of things I will need for a day or 2 stay, then another bag for if I stay longer which OH can fetch to the hospital, then take the dirty laundry home. The reason being that our hospital advised us to do this as there is not much space in the wards for suitcases and big bags
Is anyone else finding themselves wearing shoes all day long just because it's such a faff putting them on and taking them off? Oh and I'm pretty much now only wearing bras if I'm going out or someone is coming round! So glam :P

I'm still in flip flops, whether work like it or not ... the other option is slippers :rotfl: Most nights I end up slobbed on the sofa with just my tubigrip and my knickers on ... a very attractive look

Jen that is so cool. I really should video my bump moving!

My baby is head down, facing the back, I can feel his bum now when I touch my stomach, which is so weird, his bum is so high up though, it's like he's sticking it out at me :o

  • As far as I've been told mine is the right way round but I get random movements like that sometimes too. Feels very odd and looks it too!

Got 36w mw appt tomorrow and hopefully my best friend / midwife should be coming and hopefully bringing her moses basket with her so there will at least be somewhere for sproggle to sleep if she decides to come early!

I'm starting to get a bit apprehensive about it all now too, not the birth so much as have been there done that, know how carp it is and know you just have to man up a bit and get through it (or should that be woman up?!), but thinking about the early days are worrying me a bit. Obv have done it before but I'm hoping it'll be a bit easier this time now I have an idea of what I need to do and not do. Whether it'll work out like that or not though we'll have to see!

Yes been twice before. The walking, using the subway etc with all the stairs,is one thing that puts me off, plus the flight.
I'm tired just doing stuff at home, tho another part of me is thinking I want to go and buy lots of baby stuff there LOL. Oh I dont know.....

Exactly.. if you are struggling at home already, it might not be the best idea.

Why not wait till little one arrives, they are supposedly easy to travel with when very wee as they dont want to run around on the plane, and they sleep alot! Then you will have met your little one, and have more of an idea of what to buy in what sizes?

my baby is head down but facing my ribs instead of my back. I want her to turn but i think it will hurt! The midwife didnt say anything about it being a problem but i have heard back to back labours last longer and hurt more!
