very annoyed, just been looking at more maternity bra's and have been fitted incorrectly by the shop assistant. she insisted it was normal for a maternity/nursing bra to fit like that, well its not! so now i have to traipse my hugely obsene belly to the metro centre to return the 2 i bought, then i have to convince DH to go with me to newcastle so i can get fitted properly by bravissimo. back size is fine, she just fitted the cup size wrong so that the cups dont sit flush against my skin :mad:0

Morning all.
Jannine, glad it was good news.
I have put on 7lbs at 15 weeks which I don't think is bad considering I was at the lightest I ever get to when I got my BFP, I'm usually 3 or 4lbs heavier than that so in reality more like a 3 or 4lb gain. Considering I was permanently starving until about a week and a half ago and not able to eat as healthily as I'd like due to needing 'stodge' to keep the nausea away I don't think that's bad. MIL however was questioning me about my weight the other night and when i told her what i'd put on she reacted as if I'd said it was 3 stone or something!!! Even DH was taken aback by her reaction and he's more used to how tactless she is! That's what I get for marrying into a family of skinny people who wouldn't gain an ounce if they lived on chocolate for a month!!
I have an extra scan a week on monday to check out my cervix as I had some treatment on it 18 months ago following a bad smear result. Our cleaner at work was telling me the other day about his grandaughter who was born 13 weeks early due to his daughter having problems with her cervix not being strong enough to keep her in due to having had the same thing done (not that I told him i'd had it done lol!). havn't told DH about that story though, he'd get in a right panic and I know most people are fine, its just the odd one who has problems like she did.
We're going pram shopping tomorrow. We won't be actually buying it, I'd like to wait until my 16 week scan is all done so we have an extra confirmation that all is ok!0 -
Morning all.
Weight- I'm 35+1 and have put on around a stone and a half.
Itchiness- Kira, I've been extremely itchy all over at times, was told it's a combination of light sweat- from all the extra effort into moving, etc, with weight and so on! Have also been told it'sperfectly normal. My skin has occasionally little very light red blemishes on it which itch, though it's related to low blood pressure and platelets for me- so definitely mention it, but don't worry as itching's apparantly very common.
Janninew- Fantastic news, you can relax a bit now.... V happy for you.
I have the health visitor this morning. DH was home early yestarday and went on a cleaning spree, the house is spotless and tidy now!
I know its in the last few weeks for me keep waking up with pain down there- it's not SPD, it's more the uncomfortable pain the night before a period? I'm going to go google that and see what t'internet gods say.
Looking forward to mat leave- only one week left..... Am wrecked when I get home every night, and keep apologising to DH- he's doing physical work all day, and running all over the place, I sit behind a desk. Keep feeling I should be doing more. Feel very lazy!
keep getting breathless and lightheaded, MW says its carrying baby, all the weight, etc....0 -
Lisa, weak cervix runs in my mum's side of the family, though they say it isn't genetic, I couldn't relax till I reached 24 weeks. At least you're getting properly checked.
No-one was too bothered by my vague worryings about baby coming too early.
I've put on getting on for a stone and a half from normal, but heading for two from booking in, cos i'd lost weight. That's at nearly 32 weeks.0 -
Lirin I am exactly the same, I get home from work and just flump on the sofa, I'm like a zombie. I'm also breathless and lightheaded all the time.
I woke up last night with period like pains in my lower abdomen and back, and still got them this morning. I hope it's baby moving into position.seafarers_wife wrote: »metro centre hell this morning as it was manic today
Already????? :eek::eek::eek::eek:Hi Ladies!
I had my scan and Consultant appointment this afternnon and have good news to report! My fluid around baby has doubled over the last week and is now around the normal amount expected! Had a doppler scan as well and this was all normal. Blood pressure has also come down and is fine! The Consultant was amazed at how my water has doubled in a week, obviously rest and drinking and eating a lot has helped!
I'm so pleased for you Janine :jstephb0113 wrote: »I've been booked in for induction next Friday, 11/11/11. How weird would that be if I had the baby at 11 o'clock too??!!
That is a cool birth date  I'm hoping for 13/12/11 if baby is a couple of days late. Well really I'm hoping for baby to be 2 weeks early and come end of November0 -
Alizee - that's so frustrating when that happens! I missed out on a huge bundle of baby clothes by 50p as I forgot when it was due to finish! I hope you find another one!
LOL. I WON a huge bundle of clothes the other day! Arrived yesterday. IMMENSE package, my arms nearly disjointed taking it off the Postie! Bit of a dampner on getting all that lovely stuff (0 through to 12 months), when a lady at work joyfully told me about her friends daughter who just had a baby, and had been told it was a girl, but when it arrived, it was a boy... thanks for that!
I often wonder how often we are bidding against each other on here on stuff and not knowing it!
Oh, and had to bite my tongue at work with a colleague who decided it was OK to give my bump a big double handed grab and rub. Grrrrrrr. Luckily she grabbed the higher bit which is solid. Would have been mortifying if she had gone for the wobbly flabby bit below.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

All I've done today. Tidied away a few clothes, moved two glasses into the sink, patted two gaint grumpy mafogglies (banished outside until HV hasarrived and left....)- now I could go back to bed!0

There's the joy of working alone and having a bump easily hidden under a big jumper, no-one's laid a hand on it yet.
Except the lanky teen, who thinks it's funny to go 'pokey pokey' and jab me with a finger!
I actually slept some last night! Combination of hot water bottle on my achey ankle, and some very bland wave sounds to bore me to sleep. Think I got maybe an hour at a time, then kept restarting the sounds when I woke up. Pain in my ankle and knee that I lie on are spreading though, I had pain around the top of my leg that side, on the inside, is that hip or pelvis complaining?0 -
Weight, I've put on 9lb on so far at 27/40, which I'm pleased with as I've still got M/S and have eaten many packets of sweets.
Itchiness, my GP said I could use Camolmile lotion if my allergy itching got bad, so that may give you some relief, but I would definitely mention it at your next appointment. Luckily my itching belly responds well to Shea butter, so I keep some of that in my bag when I'm out just in case.
Aimless, lanky teen poking you must be way better than strangers, I'm not much for touchy feely with people I don't live with.
Kira, sounds like a great bargin!
Seafarers wife - defiantly take the bras back, complain to the manager about inadequate staff training etc, sometimes they give you a compensation for inconvenience voucher.
Mimi - I moved in with my husband after about 6 weekend meetings and lots of phone calls, so it can work out, on the brighter side she probably could move back in with her parents if it didn't work out, with no real harm done.
Janninew, good news!:ANeeding to save all the money, lots of MSE learning still to do

Mimi- I moved in with my husband after meeting a handful of times, and dating three weeks! We met on a car forum online. Fiveish years now, I think. Yet, I know where you're coming from, can understand why you're wary.0
