    Hey all,

Been to the midwifes this morning. Belly is measuring 37 cm so still measuring big! they are going to monitor it.

Everything else is fine. the reason i have been feeling loads of movements and things sticking out is coz baby is facing my belly button not my spine which is not a problem it just means i feel (a see) movement a lot more!

had a needle !!!!! test for sugars on because there was sugar in my wee (again) results were okay though. She also took bloods to test my iron levels and make sure the iron tablets are doing the trick.

Got another appointment in 3 weeks (doesn't feel like close monitoring at all)

Glad you other ladies are all okay and seems like a lot of us are counting down to mat leave. I have 4 working days left!

  • Does anyone know where I can find those fake ugg type boots for boys? I have been trying to find some warm boots for my little man (nearly 9 months) but will need 12-15 months size.

I have no idea what his actual shoe size is.

Thanks guys, I was thinking I'd be able to find them in a shop rather than wait! Will do an online order, and try and get some cashback too (wasn't thinking MSE, was I?!)

Jenjade - my midwife said that pregnant women naturally have sugars in their wee which is why the GTT test is the only way to know if there is a problem or not. Maybe she was just trying to encourage me to go for the test when I was complaining about having to have blood taken again!

22 days til leave for me - feels like forever, and everyone here is really grumpy today so it's not been fun.

Tesco had some Ravenlady! There and Mothercare.

I'm back, 1 and a half gingerbread lattes in tow. Happy faced me.

That all sounds positive Kira, good luck with getting rid of the itching as it must be driving you nuts.

The getting discharged from consultant care - I want to do this but didn't get chance to discuss it yesterday as the consultant wasn't there and I saw the registrar instead. Perfectly lovely and all fine with measurements but no help with getting signed off - and she booked me in for another growth scan at 35 weeks.

Thanks Hon. Fingers crossed that the tests are clear and the cream works. Doesnt help that i am obviously a dense cow. Got home, went in to pick up my exemption card, went back out to drive to pharmacy. Halfway there, realised that my prescription was in my mat notes folder, which i had taken in doors when i popped to get my card. Drove home, collected prescription. Drove to shops, got my prescription out, and realised it is for the hospital pharmacy only. DURRRRR. Hospital pharmacy being 30 miles/1 hour away from home. Luckily, it is our NHS antental class all day tomorrow at the hospital so we wil be back there anyway, so i'll make sure we are there early enough to get it then. Just have to live with the itching till then.

I hope you get discharged as well. Sounds like the M/W who gave you your BMI score messed up big time. If a heffer like me can be discharged, you sound like a good cause, being just over. It was actually the registrar i saw myself today, who discharged me pending the OC results. Lets hope your lot see sense soon!

Just back from Subway with DH.... yummmmm.....

Gilly, had been going to contact you to see if you fancied a Starbucks sometime, I'm finally off on mat leave next Friday if you're interested?

Took a thing for fruit juice- just back from Asda with loads of different ones!

Health Visitor was nice, just asked a lot of questions- how many bedrooms, our histories, etc.... Nothing unusual at all, except she has a very, very loud voice, and baby kept kicking when she talked!

I'm always up for a Starbucks, just downed 2 to myself, do not want to think about the calories....

I've been craving Fanta Lemon the past few days, when I get a spare moment my mind just drifts to it.. no idea why.

Kira - I am a heifer too, just not as bad as my notes are making out! Next appointment is with the midwife at the GP so I'm going to ask her to check and write it in so I can speak to the hospital when I go in for 35 week checks. I would have had the BMI referal anyway, and with it being a first pregnancy I've been glad of the extra checks, but I'd really like to be in the midwife unit for the birth. Which reminds me, I still need to order the tens machine...

Gilly - I'm justifying the odd coffee on the basis that I deserve a few treats, I have to save my caffeine allowance for it, and lots of milk is good for mine and the baby's teeth and bones so a bucket of latte is good for me!

Decaff Crabapple :D If I had to save my caffeine up, with my daily intake I'd be up !!!!!! creek without a paddle. I easily go through 4/5 teas a day and a few coffees.

It's the sugar in those damn tasty take away coffees :o they are limited normally though, cost more than anything.
