For the mums with children already, what did you buy but didn't use and what didn't you buy that you wish you had?
I would say my biggest waste of money was my beautiful £70 Winnie the Pooh Moses Basket I bought for DS1. He wasn't in it very long as he was tall (same for DS2) plus it was made entirely of wicker and so blinking noisy when they wriggled around! We did use it downstairs and upstairs so got a little bit of use out of it. But I would say a crib would have been a better investment as it should last until 5/6 months old. Am hoping anyway as that's what we have this time.Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -
Jen, that's good news about the physio- particularly interested as I have my first app on the 27th.... Did it last long?
I'm the same a bit with food- I've carted round the same bits in my lunch bag all week, and some of last week- I've a problem eating meals during the day as they're too heavy, so I'm snacking a lot- but not eating all that much.... I've had a bun and some carrot sticks this morning, and feel stuffed.
Moan away, it's what the thread is for!0 -
They say eat little and often don't they. We like to eat together as a family when DH comes home from work but most of the time I really don't want the tea I have prepared! So I generally have a little portion of something then have toast or cereal later on.
Have just found out that my sister in law (who is a trainee midwife) will be on delivery when I have bubs next week! How lovely is that?! She won't come into theatre but I bet she'll come in when I'm in recoveryThank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -

Blue_Monkey wrote: »Quick question - those of you on Team Yellow, are you going to buy any girl/boy clothes and take back what's not needed? It's dawning on me that bubba will be born either during the madness of Xmas shopping or if I'm late, when all the shops are shut or full if crappy sale stuff? So was thinking of getting a few non-unisex bits now perhaps? I'm finding that what is available in unisex is pretty dull....
Chicken please DONT buy a lot of clothes for team yellow. I didnt know what DD1 was and brought lots of neutral stuff. She was born on a Saturday, we was out sunday, come monday me and mum had hit the shops to buy pink stuff and all the neutral went unworn and wasted.
If you are buying anything - wait until Dec and make sure they mark it as a gift reciept0 -
