I'm home from work, and v excited as my natal hypnotherapy 4 cd set has arrived in the post. I'm feeling all coldy and pants, so i'm going to try and relax by having a listen to the first CD- Pregnancy relaxation, and then CD3, Relaxing birth music. CD2 i have to wait for a few weeks to use as its Birth preparation which they say to use from 32 weeks. I shall let you all know how it goes!

Having a non hungry day today. Small bowl of cereal for brekkie, and still feel like its backed up, giving me indigestion, so havent had lunch, and dont fancy dinner. :(

  • I would happily donate but there are only 5 that do it, if its so important for research and saving lives seems silly more are not doing it, makes you wonder about the money that gets invested into certain things and not others. Its not like donating it makes a difference to the mother as it just gets wasted otherwise so im sure most people would be willing to do it.

Had my MW appointment today im 28 +5, had my anti -d injection which was fine, just a small sting. MW has not discussed anything with me like a birth plan yet. . . when does that normally happen as I have no idea about types of pain relief etc

not until atleast 36 weeks I think, I still havent been spoken to about it, and have my 36wk appt tomorrow, they go over stuff in your antenatal classes I think.
  • Kira do you have a link for the Cds you got? They sound great!

I dont have any antenatal classes unless I want to pay for them through NCT which I cant justify spending the money on. The only thing I have been offered is a Q & A session.

Cloudberry, when I was booked in I received a big purple book about pregnancy. I'm unsure if the same one is handed out in England? If not, I have two- will quite happily post you one.
The antenatal class I remembered about and went to- she more or less read everything from the pregnancy book. I actually had picked up more from here than the class. Not slating the teacher- she was a lovely lady. I just found there wasn't an awful lot that when she started talking about it, I didn't know already.
    You aren't missing much!
  • Thanks very much for the offer Lirin but I do have the purple book! Will have to get it out and read it as I only ever read up to the point that is relevant to me at the moment not in the later stages!

  • Lirin whereabout are you? Would you benefit from using the euro nappy vouchers? I have a few and will probably get some more if they are of any use to you?

YAAAWWWNN! Ok.. so verdict so far after listening to CD1.. very very relaxed. Fell asleep on the sofa, as did the two monkey cats sitting next to me. Which i think is a good sign indeed ( for me not the cats!) . It didnt move too fast through the relaxation techniques which i have found a problem with other hypnotherapy in the past. Definately going to listen again.

The programme link is this, http://www.natalhypnotherapy.co.uk/8.html

costs £40 for the set +p&P (there are variations for twins, homebirths and hospital/birth centre), but you can buy the CD's individually. I got mine on ebay second hand for about £30 inc postage, there seem to be several of the same progamme listed.

    Hello

The natal hypnotherapy cds are available from the NCT shop. I have the same ones as Gillyx by the sounds of things. Was just trying to locate a link, but their shop site appears to be down right now. It's usually at www.nctshop.co.uk Not at home right now so I can't check who did them.

I haven't listened to the relaxation cd as much as I'd like, as it should be decent prep for the 32+ week one that is birth preparation. The first time I tried was when DH decided he needed a nap, and I'm sure it was much less relaxing than it should have been listening to the lady on the cd urging me to relax in one ear and DH snoring in the other...
