I got asked today when I was due - first person who's actually dared say anything who I haven't actually told
Quite exciting, must be looking properly pregnant now!
My bump does seem to be going through a bit of a growing spurt at the moment, though it hasn't stopped my current pair of under bump trousers trying to fall down at inconvenient moments - like when I was giving a lecture to 20 students earlier this morningI managed to sit down on the stool in what was hopefully a subtle way, so they stopped going any lower....
Mmmm I love Malteasers. DH made a fabulous sponge cake last night, and with really thick homemade bramble jam, and tons of buttercream. GTT in just over a week, so if I'm going to get gestational diabetes, I may as well make the most of it before they tell me to eat lots of fruit instead...0 -

Jen, DH's shop had Malteser boxes reduced- we now have five. We did have six, but I ate one last night.
I've preferred over bump trousers from the start, as under bump felt uncomfortable.... but my comfy Mothercare yoga pants are letting me down! No pun intended.....Fair enough, they are pretty much the only thing I wear now, but they can't cover bump properly anymore and slide down! They still look good round my butt though.
I'm just in a lazy patch, my Lurch impression is getting a little wearing, but co-codamol works. I'm very wary of taking anything- I've always been more of a herbal remedy person. I've only taken two, this morning.
Bluebell, can your DH post a sponge to me please???? I'm such a terrible foodie now, but whenever I actually have something in front of me I can't eat it. If you could gain weight just at the thought of food, I'd be in a fairly serious state of health now.0 -
lol jenjade, I've done that so often with minstrels bought for OH for christmas, can't buy them until the last minute now!
Not sure what to do with myself now, Have lots to do, could really do with ironing all the baby bits, but think this might take a life time, Might go out to the car and get all the bits out that people have bought and check what time my MW appt is tomorrow.0 -
Hmmmm maltesers!! I remember when Woollies used to do a small bucket of them. I thought it would be individual bags but no it was all loose Maltesers nom, nom, nom!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0

See, this is why the shops and supermarkets put boxes of chocolates and stuff on offer now! As they know people will buy them for Christmas, eat them and then have to buy them again! :rotfl:
I don't tend to buy chocolates for gifts, I'm more likely just to get them on offer for myself though!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
Bluebell, can your DH post a sponge to me please????
Not a chance, I keep trying to make cake to take into work and it never gets that far...No way it'd last long enough to get to a post office :rotfl:
My Nan gave me an amazing recipe for Chocolate Biscuit Cake, might treat myself and make that at the weekend - 1 tin condensed milk, a packet of squished digestives, tons of butter and chocolate... nom.
I went off cake and chocolate for the first 3 months, seem to be over that now though.0 -
I've got a recipe for Malteaser cake that sounds similar... think I might have to make a batch up this weekend!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0

Afternoon ladies.
I just wondered if any of you have thought about donating your umbilical cord blood?
Me and Oh looked into it, but it's only done at certain hospitals sadly, otherwise I would have.
