wooo hoo to 9 days kandboys!!! Im 8th after the boldies!!!
OOoh bascadette its your due date, hope you're ok, and I hope mancbird is having lovely mummy cuddles.
I'm really looking forward to my MW appointment tomorrow, as then I'll have a better idea about c-section or not, hoping that if I have to go for a scan and to turn baby they'll do it this week. Then if it doesn't work I can start gearing up for a section, I hate not knowing, will have to repack my bag too as would obviously be in longer. 4 weeks 2 days to go. 30 days!!!! God!!!0 -
Blue monkey - I'm probably not the best person to give advice as all of my unisex baby clothes I've purchased are Halloween/scull and crossbones clothes type clothes, an orange and black tigger outfit. I've also got a star trek uniform and some superhero clothing (left over from my nephew). As I've had 3 scans so far and not been able to tell the sex, I decided I would just buy the items I liked rather than be gender specific. I do have another scan today, but if I find out I'm not sure it would change my shopping too much other than possibly an ebay gender specific box of clothing if it was cheap, which you could do any way and resell the other colour. I mostly plan on keeping baby in body suits/baby grows for the first couple of months, so I figure I will use the outfits other people will buy for us after it is born.
Gilly - when I was in student digs and had a similar sort of problem, the environmental health people said to leave the windows ajar constantly and only use 'dry' heat i.e. electric fans. I had a gas fire and cooker, which I was told I shouldn't use ;( . They said no to dry tumble drying or drying clothes on the radiator. He also said about having these silica gel absorbing boxes about everywhere. Then he wrote up his reports and said it should be enought to break my contract with my landlord. My landlord was more of a cash in hand sort of fella, and didn't argue when I told him I wanted to move out of the room. Both my partner and I had been suffering from a low level chest infection from the mold spores which cleared up about a week after we moved out.
Hope everyone has a good day! I'm of to pottery and for a scan and consultant appointment, might sneak my second coffee of the week, last nights gingerbread latte is calling to me again.:ANeeding to save all the money, lots of MSE learning still to do
DS Born Jan 2012, Baba number 2 due in June 20140 -
I just keep thinking all I have to do is last until the 11th of Nov.... Remembrance Day! That's the first day of my holidays for a fortnight, leading into mat leave. Since I have Friday's off, it's 3 1/2 weeks after today....
Not too bad- missymoo, it's only a pulled muscle and a numb leg, no real pain! But thank you.
It's just waking up in the dark, with rain pouring down, and mafogglies looking out the back door with expressions that clearly read 'Yeah right, Lady. You're in no condition to shove us out there anymore, we're not shifting.' If the dogs won't even go out, I don't wanna!!!0 -
Carmilla, sshhhhh about the lattes, I'm going to have to wait until friday, and thats IF I can get my fatness into the city. I soooo want one though.
I can't get over the weather everywhere, really worried it is on its way over here, it is actually sunny but cold and I have washing out0 -

I was actually in hospital longer with DS1's ventouse and episiotomy delivery than DS2's c-section! 3 nights then 2 nights. They asked me with DS2 if I wanted to go home but no pressure if I wanted to stay. I was out of there - nothing like your own bathroom and bed. Better for DS1 too as he had been home, Nanny's and hospital bless him so didn't know what to make of it all.Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -
Just read that Guiliana Rancic has breast cancer.... "Guiliana & Bill" was one of my faves on telly in Oz, and I really felt for them going through their IVF etc, and now this

Hi Ladies,
I'm now 27 weeks with my first baby and I don't where this 2nd trimester has gone!! I'm starting to panic now as we've not bought any baby clothes, a pram, car seat or cot yet. All I have bought is a babybjorn carrier, cot top changer and tiny love playmat (all from NCT sales). None of the important stuff!! The nursery is decorated and ready to be filled, so at least that's one big item off the list.
We've planned to go pram, car seat and cotbed shopping next tuesday as we've both got a day off work.
I plan to get the basic baby clothes from the supermarket clothing ranges to save some pennies.
I'm constantly online to look at different items, but never buy. I think I need to start.
For the mums with children already, what did you buy but didn't use and what didn't you buy that you wish you had?0 -
We haven't bought much either and I'm 32 weeks!!! So far, we've got 2 x babygros (which were pressies from me leaving Australia), 1 x bugaboo cameleon (second hand), 1 x cot, 1 x changing table. I've got no nappies, car seat or clothes - finding it all a bit daunting to be honest. Take a look at my Amazon wishlist if you like: http://www.amazon.co.uk/registry/wishlist/15ZZPKJKUVK2X/ref=cm_wl_search_2
I'd like to get most of it from mothercare as I've got £90 worth of vouchers to use there...0 -
