Awww Mimi I'm so sorry to hear that. Sending you lots of lovely {{hugs}}.

Congrats to mancbird! So glad baby stayed put!!

I wouldn't personally have a smear while pregnant. As someone said surely it might affect the results plus I wouldn't like them scrapping so close to baby's head ! Probably silly I know.

Have my consultant's appointment tomorrow at 3.15. He had better be there this time that's all I can say. Will still fight my cause but if it's a no-goer I'll just ask for my 41 week date

Congratulations Mrs D, glad baby stayed put for you! Now, in a week or two's time, do you think you'll be wondering why you ever wished they'd hold on? :D

Phew, 5 mins to sit down at last!

Massive congratulations for you and DH Mrs Mancbird :D xxx

Just back from the consultant. She said I'm 2cm dilated and very favorable so she gave me a sweep which she said she was 95% certain would work but she's also booked me in for induction on Friday.

OMG I'M GOING TO HAVE A BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yey!!!! So you actually got to see the consultant today? Was she sympathetic to you? Hopefully your sweep might kick start stuff off. Did she agree to induce purely cos of your SPD hun?

congrats winnie, i had my sweep but she couldnt even reach the cervix so a no goer there then, but they have booked me in for sunday for an induction whoop whoop

hubby came along with me today (first midwifes he has been to so i asked him not to ask any silly questions etc) so when midwife was having a feel of baby he asked if she could tell what sort of weight it was going to be, to which she replied at least 8and a half to 9 pound. I didnt want to know that hence the reason ive never asked them. hubby had to buy me a bigmac to make up for it.

sat onmy bed about half two earlier and then woke up at when hubby came in with DS2 at 4 o clock. lol hope i will still sleep tonight now
now proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j

    8.5-9lb? Have two bigmacs......

Hitchhiker's weird. I can walk a few paces, then I feel a heavy weight start between my legs, and the walk turns into a waddle thing. Baby's using me as a playpark, and some part of it is battering my pelvis just right now, which is interesting to say the least.

Plus, there's remains of a hurricane due to hit here again- and I've already had a few jokes about people holding onto me to stop being blown away..... If I could raise my leg, I'd kick em.
