I had my flu jab yesterday Aimless, the only thing it's made me is tired with an aching arm. My OH's mum is a nurse and advised me to get it, she seemed to think it was better to get it than not get it.

Like gilly, I also got my flu jab aimless. Getting flu and not being able to take virtually any medication would be crappy. I've still got a little bruise 9 days on, but no aches in my arms or anything. Wouldn't even know I'd had it, if it weren't for the bruise... :)

  • I got my flu jab on Monday, it hurts a bit but fine apart from that. It was quite bad yesterday when I accidentally whacked my arm into a door frame (ouch!) but it's mostly ok now. Same as twigpig I thought if I got flu and couldn't take any medication it would be horrible!

I booked my flu jab today. 2nd November.

Delain we are starting to look to move but it's so hard around here even the prices for 2bed houses - nearly gives me a heart attack!

Can't believe i'm nearly 28 weeks! Have antenatal classes tomorrow - don't know if i'm nervous or excited!:rotfl:

My doc sent me a standard letter inviting me for a smear- I'd thought you couldn't have this when pregnant, according to the letter you can?

    Online tells me...

In most cases, it is not recommended that a woman should have a cervical screening test while she is, or could be, pregnant. This is because pregnancy can make the result of your test harder to interpret.

If you are already pregnant, and you are due for a cervical screening test during your pregnancy, you will not normally need to be screened until three months after your baby is born. Tell your GP or clinic that you are pregnant when you are invited for your test, so that it can be postponed until after you have given birth.
However, if you have previously had an abnormal result from a cervical screening test, or if you are not up to date with your screening (you have not had a test in the last 3-5 years, depending on your age), you may need to be screened while you are pregnant. Your GP or midwife may ask you to have a cervical screening test at your first antenatal appointment. This test will not interfere with your pregnancy.

Wish I'd had a flu jab. Think I'm dying today. All snuffly and rough :(
DH needs to hurry up and finish work :(
  • My Doctor told me I wasn’t to have my smear because I was pregnant and that I needed to book in after the baby was born but he’s marked it on my medical file so I will automatically get reminded.

Had a pants afternoon – I’ve broken up with the fella, was me who ended it but I’m still heartbroken. Keep crying every time flump kicks, sat at work, can’t go home. Hurry up 4pm I need to go curl up in bed

Ah. I'm probably far from being up to date. Think my last one is maybe five years ago.....

If one more person in work jokes that I look 10 months pregnant- I will not be responsible for my actions. Yup, since last week, Hitch may have decided it fancies a mansion (Will get some shock when finally born!), but there is more to me than a bump!!! (Admittedly, not a lot, I'm basically a bump with legs and a fedup expression.)

It is just really annoying at this stage- a few months ago I could service my car, clean, run around and do star jumps if I felt the need- now even getting off the sofa and walking a few paces requires thought!

Mimi- so sorry for you, anything I can do?
