I was with the haematologist yestarday, and got good news....

My platelets have stabilised, so while I'll not be allowed epidural or spinal still (don't want them), there's no need for a planned labour.

I had been in work a couple of weeks ago, and itched my arm- and a mole I've had for years came off, bled for a bit... I'd rang the haematologist and they'd told me they'd look at it as well. I didn't say anything to anyone, bar DH- it would have been instant panic. Thankfully, it's okay- she said during pregnancy skin and blood can change significantly, and blood tests I had done yestarday showed nothing unusual (they were for platelets, rather handy they do full testing for everything as practise). So that's a couple more worries off my mind today..
  • Oh thats a couple of bits of good news Lirin. I've developed lots of skin tags and a couple of new moles have appeared during this pregnancy which are all apparently as a result of skin changing, just hope they go away once I'm not pregnant anymore!

Well I'm off to the midwife in a minute - I hope she won't be too pushy about a sweep as I really don't want one. Then off to have lunch again with the NCT pregnant Mom's - including one who queue jumped me - she'll be bringing her 6 day old 'ickle boy! :D

    C xx

Skint_Catt - Sweeps are really not that bad! and if it get things moving it would be worth it :)

Winnie - Dont take no for an answer! I cant see them letting you go over now, after giving you a sweep and with the contractions and everything! good luck

    HAPPY WEDDING DAY MANCBIRD!

I'm sorry for the sadness some of you have experienced, reading some of your posts, made me really well up and I'm not a cryer!!!

Labour vibes to those who want them especially bella being perched so precariously (sp) at the top of the list!

Can I just have a little me moment.....I have finally managed after 9 years to pay off my loan today, am really happy about it :) just the CC to go which will hopefully be gone by the end of the month too and thats it I'll be debt free!!! yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! Debt free before baby, can't quite have a party until the CC is paid off but am half way there :)
  • Thanks girls - wish I could take you with me! I've decided that I'm going to sit there until I see my consultant, I'm not happy to see the "rugby injured" registrar I saw last time. I'm still angry at him for what he said 3 weeks ago! Plus I really have a problem with a bloke making decisions about pregnancy and childbirth. I mean I know he's a doctor and I know he's been to college and training etc etc but until a person has actually experienced something I find it hard to accept their judgement - does that make sense?

Missymoo, congratulations! I helped DH organise his finances when we met- after a long struggle it's a year and a half off for us.... Enjoy the feeling!

Mancbird- congratulations for the day, I sincerely hope all goes well for you. :)

Winnie- I'd come if I could and give support. I'm nowhere near as bad as you, but I'm having major problems sitting today, it's quite sore, I can only imagine how you feel...
