I had my GTT yesterday, the drink they gave me tasted like pureed bread _pale_ but the results all came back normal so I suppose that's something.

Now I'll have a fight on my hands to get extra checks on the size of the baby, and probably be left to go 2 weeks over, be induced and have another 10lb monster, even though they could induce me before that and not put me through another forceps delivery :(

Hope everyone is all OK, my laptop died again and now needs windows reinstalling so I can't get on that much at the moment.

Our house saga rumbles on... ie we still can't find anywhere that thinks people on low incomes aren't actually like the Gallaghers from Shameless and that cats aren't actually furry house destroying machines.

Can you tell I'm feeling a bit down today :o

lovecrafting - I'm so sorry to hear your news, but happy at the same time that your little 'squatter' is doing fine. I don't really know what to say, but I hope that you're ok :)

mancbird - all the best for today. Hope beanie stays put :)

Mamamoo - I have visions now of you chasing hubby around the lounge firing milk missiles at him :rotfl:

twinklyeys - I tried taking pregnacare in the early days, but I had a painful tummy and the worst constipation I've ever had in my entire life. So painful, that I had to switch over the sanatogen mother to be vitamins, which thankfully are working fine for me :)

missymoo - well done on the debt front :D

Has anyone been down to the Mothercare Baby Event thing? I'm going tonight at our local store, but wondered if anyone has been already and what they thought of it? Most importantly, what was in the free goody bag and what discounts did they give you? ;)

All done - midwife wasn't bothered about doing a sweep this week so I'm booked in for that next Tuesday (41+3) and then induction on Thursday (41+5) - fine by me as Giblet WILL be out by this Sunday ;) Only 4/5 engaged but she said some babies don't engage fully anyway until labour starts and if this baby is anything like my husband it'll be so laid back! Very happy - off for lunch in a bit :D

Winnie- I'd come if I could and give support. I'm nowhere near as bad as you, but I'm having major problems sitting today, it's quite sore, I can only imagine how you feel...

Thanks poppet :) In a way I'm glad I'm having a really bad day so they will see me at my worst. Although having said that I could bearly shuffle last time I went...oh I dunno, guess it depends what side of bed they got out of!

Delain - hugs and donuts coming your way xx I've told my consultant and I will be writing in my notes myself that I won't be giving consent for another foreceps delivery after the hash up they made of the previous one. I hope they don't make you put up too much of a fight and fingers crossed you find a new house soon :)

Skint - glad you're feeling happier! Have a lovely lunch :)

has anyone got older kids, my eldest is 11 and has started senior school but is constantly losing things its really winding me up and all im doing is having a go at him lately in the 4 weeks he has been there he has lost

    a pe top
    1 football boot
    2 ties
    2 bus passes
    a planner
    2 wallets
    homework
    water bottle
    door key
    locker key

and thats all i can think of for now, its cost me around £60 in all to replace it all that not including the petrol and inconvenience when i have to take him and pick him up because hehas lost his bus passes which cost £10 to replace each time and im sick and tired of having a go at him.

just fount out this morning that he is also on yellow report for talking to much in class and not doing some homework last week which i never knew about because he has lost his planner, brick wall , head and banging springs to mind.

    sorry for the moan

Do they have a homework club he can go to and get homework done?
Mine have a console/computer ban if they get a HW detention.. if they have time for WoW/Overlord/facebook they have time for homework!

Lost items.. they work off the debt.. £2.50 an hour.. housework, gardenning, they hate it!.. and I make them keep asking at reception/stuent services to see if it has been handed in... everything is named!!

ooooh hello pigpen hows it going with the new bubba.

yes he can do homework club everyday at lunchtime, he knows this i got hubby to drop him off early today to sit in the canteen and do it but i do ask him every night if he has homework and am more than willing to sit with him and do it, that swhat annoys me

and also yes they have to do chores to work off what they owe, its his birthday next mont too and he already said about giving me hs birthday money to help out with the costs lol

to be honest he doesnt play the computer that much although i do ban him if he plays up etc, we have made his clubs after school stop for the next two weeks, rugby and football which means he wont get to play in the team next week, (i feel bad though)

missymoo well done, you should be proud of yourself. x

ive walked him into the reception about 3 times now and have sent a listin of the lost stuff as everythingis named, i also work there but am on maternity leave at the moment so know they will keep an eye out for stuff..

he does say sorry and gets upset but its like 5 minutes later nothing has happened and he isnt bothered by it. he must be though he surely cant enjoyed being told off as much as he is latley.
now proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j

thanks everyone, am all teary again!!!! Bl00dy hormones, really need to be getting ready to see the midwife.

Quick question, am looking at nursing bras, now i was measured for maternity bras at a 36D but I think they are too big in all areas to be completely honest, and I am more a cup size and a chest size down so more of a 34D, when you're milk comes in do your boobs get much bigger, its just that I've seen the ones I want on special offer and I want to get them now, do you think a 34DD would suffice??

I didnt need any bigger once the milk came in.. the first few days when there was gallons was a squeeze but once things settled after a few more days I still fit in the bras worn during pregnancy.. they havent changed size at all this time.. though with Squeak I did go from a 36D to a 36G so I am a little pleased they arent any bigger! Id fall over!

Dot is lovely.. though a bit sicky for my liking .. I cant decide if she has reflux (she is windy and gripey and cross) or if she is just a piglet and gorges so she is sick.. he did a full feed regurgitation all over us both at parents evening last night..

She is demanding cuddles so I have acheived nothing today.. :D

Morning all. I had the worse nights sleep ever due to SPD so when DS2 was at nursery this morning I went back to bed for an hour! Good luck with your wedding today mancbird!

Give them hell Winnie! I do not see the point of these Registrars doing a Consultant's clinic. They cannot make decisions. My midwife said if she knew that the registrar would be there last week she would have said don't bother going to me as it achieves nothing!
