My consultant was saying there are a lot of people who go in with "SPD" but they don't struggle to stand up and just jump up on the couch and move easily - she thinks a lot of people read about it on the internet and think its an easy excuse for requesting a c-section because there is no conclusive test to say whether or not you've "got" SPD.
When she started talking I thought she was accusing me of faking it, but she was quick to reassure me when the tears started
My problem is when I start crying I just can't stop!! Ridiculous for a 33 year old grown female. And that's not just when I'm pregnant!

Hmmm not sure hun. I can find out for you - my sister in law is a trainee midwife there. Will send her a text xx
Oh that would be fab hun, many thanks! Fingers crossed!
One of the NCT Mom's gave birth there last Thursday & couldn't speak highly enough of all the midwives there & the care she had - has given me a bit more confidence for going into labour!

No probs I've sent her one. She's not there at the moment as she's doing her dissertation but should be on post natal early November which is when I'm expecting to be in. Honestly I've never had a problem with my care etc there. I've been on early pregnancy, pre-natal, delivery and post natal wards and they have all been fine and the staff nice. Great to hear good reports from other people though isn't itThank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -
Definately!
I can't imagine 'hopping' anywhere with SPD - I can barely sit on the sofa comfortably!

Bizarrely I've become less emotional since I've been pregnant (escept when I'm stupidly tired - I get grizzly like a two year old!) - bet I blub my way through the first few days after birth though! :rotfl:0

Really pleased for you Winnie
Hopefully you'l be holding your baby soon.
I've defrosted a slice of lasagne for dinner and can't even be bummed moving from my bed to heat it up, bubs hasn't moved much today, maybe he's feeling the same as me, tired and grumpy.
R.e SPD, I'm so thankful (so far anyway) that I've not had anything that even resembles it, I can only imagine the pain, so my heart goes out to you.The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
