Morning ladies and bumps!
I was in bed for 8.30pm last night as I was so shattered. I can't believe how tired I feel at the moRoll on the weekend, as I'm doing absolutely zilch
Nevermind, I managed to get anther 2 Huggies starter packs in Boots yesterday so that made me feel better. I might try and pop back today and see if they have anymore in. They are in very short supply up here.
I've got my flu jab today and I'm slightly nervous. I don't mind needles, I just hope I'm not poorly afterwards :eek:0 -
Morning all
Hope you managed to get back to sleep missymoo, i've been there as you well know its horrible not being able to sleep, i'm still waking alot in the night maybe 5 or 6 times, mainly for the loo but i'm managing to get back to sleep so not to bad.
With regards to the milk, i'll be making the bottles up and storing them in the fridge like I did last time, the guidelines are constantly changing so you never know the best thing to do, i'm just gonna use my common sense
WW - Hope flu jab goes OK for youI had swine flu jab the week before I found out I was pregnant and I was fine.
I've been cleaning already this morning and am currently munching my way through sausages and cheese on toast with BBQ sauce yum yum
Feeling quite perky again this morningcant wait til friday til I meet my baby!
hope everyone has a great day

Morning all,
Woke up at 2.04 to find my waters had broken had been having contractions on and off ever since, about 10-20 minutes apart not lasting very long.
Things seem to have stopped in the last hour or so though, will have some breakfast and call the delivery suite for advice in a bit.0 -

Morning all!
Glad you're feeling perky this morning Bellamust admit I've woken up in a good mood this morning too! Not sure how much of that is to do with the chocolate hobnobs I'm scoffing for breakfast lol
Both me and DH were up at 5ish this morning so we stuck some more Spooks on. We're now half way through season 8 so nearly ready to start watching the new ones! I've got an awful feeling this baba is waiting until we're caught up to be born! I keep telling him I don't mind if he wants to interrupt - we have them on DVD so I can always watch them again!
WW - hope your jab goes ok
With regards to milk, I'll be making up or expressing bottles and keeping them in the fridge too. My view is that wrapping bubs in cotton wool will ultimately be worse for baby because their immune system won't have the opportunity to develop by fighting bugs. Don't get me wrong, I won't be giving baby gone off milk on purpose, but I don't believe that milk (whether breast or formula) will go bad in a short space of time, if it's stored correctly anyway. It certainly didn't hurt DS - I can count on one hand the number of days he's been sick from school over the past 7 years and that was with impetigo!
Was planning to have a wander around big Tesco today to see if that would get things moving but my right leg has decided its not going to work today, so today I'll be mostly found on the sofa eating biscuits and watching crap telly. Again.
ETA - good luck Leanne!x
Hugs all round and labour vibes to the boldies and anyone else who wants themxxx

WW- luck with the jab....
Kira- nice link, will look now!
Leandygandy- good luck! Hope this is it for you.
Spiders- DSD saw one on Sat night, behind the TV. Huge, but just a garden spider. She did the screamy, hands up, 'OMG! I will literally.... DIE if that comes near me' extra girly thing.
I told her if she didn't stop, said spider, which is infinitely more terrified of her than she is of it, would be deposited in her hand. I hate the girly screamy thing- it doesn't achieve anything!
I'm chirpier this morning- just was sore yestarday, and wasn't feeling great. TBH, think it was the thought of another six weeks in work that was really getting me down, as it's hard to admit, but it is getting tougher every day.
DSD pointed out 'bruises' on bump on Sunday. I took a look, and discovered I have a small collection of stretch marks on either side (not a surprise, bump is fracking huge, another growth spurt in last few days). No-one told me how itchy they were- I'm constantly trying not to touch bump, as I feel a prickly sensation all the time.
The milk thing- I'm definitely trying breastfeeding, and will be expressing and storing if I can.... I'll just pick it up as it goes. Watched a frankly bizarre American show about breastfeeding recently, where one lady was still breastfeeding her girls, at 6 and 8 years respectively. If that wasn't enough to try get my head around- I've been thinking in months, not years!!- she went on to say her husband also breastfed from her, and they'd turned it into a type of foreplay..... Started searching for another program to watch when it proceeded to show husband latched on! Very weird. (Sorry, that may be TMI at this time in the morning!)0 -
Glad you're feeling better today Lirin
meant to ask yesterday if you managed to get the rota's sorted yet?
Itchy stretch marks are horrid - I keep a small tube of moisturiser in the fridge and lather it on every hour or so. It's pure bliss.
*makes mental note to not watch any breastfeeding telly*0 -
Winnie, if by rota's you meant my work still putting me on shift when I'm supposed to be on leave- no. I did get a letter acknowledging my pregnancy, after complaining to HR, and it also gives the correct rate of pay I'm due. Strange how I could work it out in a few minutes, yet it took their accountant almost two months!
The rota is updated every month to reflect big changes, and is updated frequently to show the odd day swapped or changed- so I will be watching it from the 20th on, when it should be updated to show Nov. If I still show as working, I'll kick up a fuss again.0 -
