Ok panic mode again! (If I don't breastfeed!)

You're not supposed to make up formula before you need it (current recommendations) - so what are the bottle warmers for in the tommee tippee box for? How do you make up a bottle when out & about or at night - do you have a travel kettle upstairs or do you have to traipse downstairs several times a night. How do you use those strange little powder containers in the tommee tippee box too? They look weird & can't work out why they are so strange & not just mini tupperware thingys.

How many changes of clothes/nightwear are you taking to the hospital? I don't know if I need a nightie/t-shirt for when I get there, then change into my tankini (top only?) if a birthing pool is free or straight into the tankini from my 'normal' clothes when I arrive? Then after I get out of the pool do I need another nightie - or maybe the same one if I wore it earlier? I also have pj's if I have to stay in (I'd want to be covered up if I'm in a ward with other mothers) but not sure if they'll fit/be suitable if it's really hot in there? I just don't feel prepared!

    And breathe... :o

    C xx

i used to make a days worth of bottles at a time, it didnt do my babies any harm, and if i am breast feeding this one i will be expressing a good few bottles at a time aswel so oh can feed him/her/them really they shopuld find a cure for the common cold or something and leave parents alone, its all a guilt trip to make you breastfeed.

  • If anyone is looking for a nice labour/birthing night dress I ordered this one a few weeks ago.

    http://www.huddleandbliss.com/product-details.asp?ProdID=156

I ordered when it was free delivery and I think I also got 20% or 25% off - might be worth keeping an eye on them incase they do it again -saw it through their FB page. Love it so much, so soft, opens low enough down and is very comfortable. Then also got a cheap £6 matalan night dress a few sizes up just incase too.

    Hello!
Went to the hospital earlier. Am now on insulin 4 times a day. :(
Have got to go back tomorrow afternoon to the diabetic ante-natal clinic to have some blood tests done and to book my induction
I'll be induced at 38 weeks, so they're estimating 28th October, but will be given more information tomorrow :(
On the plus side, the insulin has made me feel a lot better about my blood sugar levels.

S_C I used to make up 4 or so bottles at a time and keep them in the fridge until they were needed. Never had any issues. You can keep an open carton of baby milk in the fridge for 24 hours, so I see no problem with keeping bottles in the fridge.
Alternatively, make the bottles up with water, and if you have Tommee Tippee bottles, you can get these little milk pot things that fit inside the bottle. I swore by them!

    Evening ladies.

Hope everyone's having a nice sleep. Just off to bed now after watching Lee Evans. Going to see him live this weekend so can't wait for that.

Went to car boot again yesterday, bought some baby size K Swiss trainers and 2 next outfits. All brand new and cost me £4 for trainers and got both next outfits for £1.50. So not too bad.

Also got 2packets of the Asda £1 nappies. Opened packet to have a look and they don't seem too bad. Feel really soft, I thought they would be plasticy but seem ok.
Was lucky to get mine as a woman came up and put every single pack in her trolley. Must have been at least 30 packs. Greed is not good.

Oohh, today is Viability day for us, so another milestone we've reached :D

    Xxxx
