MSE Pregnancy Club 23

I bought the £5 Argos gym ball- they're pretty much the same. As far as I can work out, pregnancy is the same as a wedding- put either word in front of something, and the price goes up 400pc.
It's been fine, and is comfortable, though I feel a prize idiot bouncing or sitting on it. I will be tonight though! It is definitely worth it....

Ah I thought you mentioned something about holiday before mat leave but couldn't remember! Make sure you take it easy though and call in sick for a day if you're struggling

Everyone keeps saying "its only 10 days" but at this stage 10 days is a long time!!

Thanks Flower I don't think I'd be so bothered if I hadn't been having all the show and (probably fake) contractions for the past week! I think they let you go 10 or 12 days here but I won't be going over - if he's not here by Wednesday then they're going to induce me because of my SPD.

Will keep my fingers crossed for you that things start soon! 10 days is a lifetime in this situation!

I'll be 14 days overdue by the time I go in on friday then I've to ring before I go in to see if they have a bed for me, not sure what will happen if they dont have a bed?? and what if they dont have a bed the day after that and after that???

everyday feels a lifetime to me at the mo! and the nights are even longer

I've given up wishing it was happening every day when it's clearly not, so I'm going back to my OCD-self and keeping my legs crossed until 09/10/11 (next Sunday)! I REALLY want a cool birthdate for Giblet *laughs hysterically* :rotfl:

Hi all, loving the chattiness and am well jel of all the nesting (just under 2 weeks til we finally get in our new place and I can do the same)!

I'm feeling much better after being in a hot mess yesterday. I managed to stop crying and generally sorted myself out. OH was scared half to death, said he'd never seen me sob so much. Of course, during the course of my mess, I managed to apportion out the blame to him by telling him I needed more emotional support... Poor boy.

The cat I'm cat-sitting for has peed on the bed, so I've got to go and take the duvet to the cleaners...grr.

Saw my chiropractor today and he said the right side of my pelvis is 1 inch higher than my left, and that the left side of my shoulders is compensating for this. He did some neck cricking thing and jabbed my pelvis from behind (not as sexual as it sounds) and said I'd probably feel a bit sore tomorrow. Wants me to see him twice a week for a couple of weeks then once a week after that. He's a nice guy and seems to have set himself up a proper little professional practice, but I can't help thinking he's trying it on a bit for 2 sessions a week when he confirmed they'd only be for 10-15 mins each... Oh well, I'm still using the GroupOn offer for the time-being, will see how it goes when that ends.

Had a call with my boss re mat leave. It wasn't as bad as I thought and we agreed on my last day - 24 Nov - yippee! Because I need to use as much annual leave as possible, my actual maternity leave will start on 10 Dec - day before I due!!

Thanks for all the good wishes. I'm not going in - he's moving a little more now. I'll monitor and see how he gets on. She said if it happens and I go in more than 3 times they will deliver - she also said if I want an earlier c-section that could be one way of getting it. But I don't want to tempt fate if you see what I mean?

I think there might have been 2 newbies - can anyone find the details to add to the list?

Glad bubs is on the move a bit more kandboys, at least the option is there to go in if you need the reassurance

I will look into a regular ball then - the only difference is to make sure it is safe as in if any chance of a puncture it self deflates slowly and not just bursts. Will take a look at Argos now thanks girlies
