I honestly think mines is instantly awake the minute I open my eyes, it's almost like "yay Mummy wants to play" Mummy doesn't, she want's a strong cup of coffee and peace.
I sound delightful
My friend sent me a picture of her little boy last night, he's 7 weeks old now and still teeny tiny, his clothes are all hanging off him, bless. I hope my baby isn't as tiny, I'll be terrified I'll break him!The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Slight amendment in my case. 'Yay, there's a new bit of Mummy I can grab and pull.'0

I'm dreading when this time comes for me, they're little monsters!
On another note Dexter is back (for anyone who watches it) seriously my favourite show ever, I'm so excitedI really need to get a life.

Mamamoo I would be physically beating my OH if he tried to pull anything like that especially when you have told him how serious it is. Im raging with him and i dont even know him - how dare he put £18 before the safety of you and the baby, so is that your "worth" to him then???? Id honestly be telling him to go and do one and would be making other arrangements for DS so as not to have to interfere with his working life. I hope you do make the appointment, and if you dont can you not go to your GP and have it done there?
JenJade as well im raging for you as well. Id have told my OH the exact same thing about him being there and if he wasnt there then well he will have to deal with the consequences!
Ive been absent for a few days as have guests and am totally shattered so having a chill day today whilst they have gone shopping to metro centre. Loving the company but longing for wednesday when i can go back to my routine without needing to think about anyone else.
re the visitors thing Ive already put my foot down and told everyone that there will be no visitors till we say so, and by we i really mean me :rotfl: i do not do well at the best of times with lack of sleep so not really wanting to be dealing with guests for the first few weeks.
My parents are coming down when i go into labour but they will help and get on with stuff and generally be helpful so i can deal with that as i know they will just do washing and help themselves and clean up where needed so i can deal with that. His parents on the other hand, well they asked if it was ok if they were on holiday around the due date so im over the moon with that as i get annoyed with his parents as even if the house is spotless his mum will clean and just wont sit down and chill, she has to be cleaning or doing something at all times and it gets on my wick.
Its hit and miss if OH will be back for baby being born so at the moment everything is in limbo, but my best friend will be driving down if i want her to when i go into labour, but i think if OH ends up being away just as long as my parents are here that will be enough support for me. Just need to make sure they are insured to drive my car when the time comes.
Ive got everything for baby it just needs building so my parents are coming down November time to do some more DIY and build stuff for me, I know his parents are coming to visit family in October but I am not having them stay with me and they are not building the nursery stuff either for me even though i know they want to as that is something I want OH to do or if he isnt going to be back then my parents will do it as I dont trust his parents DIY skills as its bodge job at the best of times :rotfl:
Well ive rambled enough so going to go and get some lunch and potter round the house sorting bits out.0 -
Why, why why did I start to sort the boys toys when my 3 year old is with me?! Doesn't look as if I've done a thing as he discovered lots he had forgotten about. Managed to chuck a few bits away and put younger bits away for the baby. Am hoping this is the start of nesting for me. On the downside, my pelvis is now agony after sitting on the floor for over an hour ouch, ouch, ouch!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0

I have done a bit of nesting today
bathroom been scrubbed top to bottom, kitchen cleaned, washing done now feeling worn out! i've just had some dinner as was feeling a bit faint again
I'm quite happy to have visitors once i'm home or even when i'm in hospital because they wont stay long, all my family live in the same town as me, they will be coming for a brew then will be sent home, I can think of nothing worse than having family here all day arghhhhhhh and there is no way I would let them in my house while I was not there!!
