Morning all
Bella - hope things get moving for you soon!
Lirin - sleep is an elusive mistress isn't she! I don't know if it would help you, but I got a single duvet, folded it in half and put it underneath the sheet on my side of the bed (IYSWIM?) - the extra padding seems to make the bed a less uncomfortable place to be - just wondering if that's something you could try? It seems to sort of spread the pressure if that makes sense?
Mirror - how you feeling? Any twinges?
Mamamoo - can DH take DS to work with him?
Piggers - nothing to say but  what planet is that man on?!?!?!
Sorry if I've missed anything, I have read back but I can't remember where I got to or when I last postedfeeling like a serious divvy today, think I left my brains in my non-maternity trousers!
I've had more show this morning and more contractions. Properly doing my head in now. I've now had 10 days with show every day and nearly a week of these contractions and still no baby!
On the up side though, my lovely mummy came and cleaned my windows for me yesterday bless her, and my step dad hung some new doors on the living and dining rooms so the downstairs of the house is nearly finished and looking lovely. I'm really pleased with it and so grateful that I've got such a fab family
With regards visiting, everyone has said they'll wait for me to say when. The only thing I'm concerned about is making sure DS gets to meet his little brother before anyone else - which could be a problem if he's with his dad but we'll sort that out I'm sure. I'm torn whether to let him come into hospital to see me though, he got really stressed out and upset when I was admitted a few weeks ago. I guess it depends how long they want to keep me in for and we'll make a decision based on that.
Going to check my hospital bag this morning and make sure DS has a bag packed too in case I am kept in. Also need to dig the car seat out of the [STRIKE]dumping ground[/STRIKE] nursery and practice putting it in the car.
Sorry for the epic post, didn't mean to rabbit on for that long lol!!
Labour vibes to those who want them and hugs to those who don'txx

missyyyyy dont worry as long as baby has something to eat, nappies, something to wear and somewhere to sleep everything else doesnt matter. I know its easier said than done but just relax and take it easy.
thanks Bells hun, i'm sorry you've had enough, not long now, think how quickly the weeks have flown by already, friday will be here before you know it. big hugs xx0 -
Argh! So MAD!
Hospital told me on Thursday that I would have to go back tomorrow to the diabetes clinic. I need more test strips, some blood tests, to see a dietician, and to see a consultant about the possibility of C-section, induction etc.
Immediately asked hubby to book time off, or swap a shift, so he could have DS. I can't bring DS with me as a) the hospital insists that children are accompanied by an adult (adult can not be the patient) and also, DS really doesn't like seeing me in hospital, he cries when I have a scan! He nearly had a fit when he saw them getting ready to take my blood.
OH didn't bother phoning on the Thursday, was so busy he forgot on Friday (despite having the time to text me to tell me he was too busy to ask!) forgot to phone on Saturday, and wouldn't phone in the evening (he works in a fu*king pub! It's not like they'll be closed at 6pm!)
And today his boss was off.
There's no-one else who can babysit for me, so now I can't go.
Really Fu*king helpful, OH. Tw*t.
Well he will just have to ring in sick when you leave him and ds to go to the hospital. I half wonder if men do this sh*t on purpose because.
OH asked after 18 months of treatment for cervical abnormalities if I still had Chlamydia. explains why I had no sympathy off him after each procedure.
Have you explained the seriousness of the situation.?Little Person Number 4 Due March 2012

morning winnie no no twinges yet or show or anything lol
hopefully wont be too much longer for you though, cant believe youve had contractions for 10 days now omg, are they getting any regular at all, have you had a sweep or anything and spoke to midwife. xnow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -
Thanks ladies
just feeling very sorry for myself lol got a few bits today, really need to clean the bathroom and get DS uniform and stuff ready just incase anything does happen sooner rather than later
Mamamoo - i'd just take DS to clinic with you, i'm sure there are people who dont have childcare and have to take kids with them, i'm sure once your there they wouldnt turn you away. As for your OH give him hell lol!
Winnie - DS meeting his new brother before anyone else is one of the things I have told people, my mum is looking after DS while i'm having baby, I have told her if she ends up bringing him to hospital she's to let him come and spend time with baby before shes allowed to come in, and she fully understands this

Baby girl due September 20130 -
Hi everyone, just thought I'd pop over from the 12-24 thread
I'm a bit worried about visitors after the baby arrives as when we rang MiL to tell her the news when we found out I was expecting, we ended up inviting her to stay and help out after the birth. Now I'm not so sure that's such a good idea, but I'd feel really awkward about un-inviting her! She's really lovely, but it'd still be like having a guest and I'd feel like I'd need to be presentable, up and about, doing stuff etc. She lives about 10 hours away so it's not an easy trip for her, and DH seems to think she'll be staying for 3 or 4 weeks! I can only take 8 weeks maternity leave at the most, so won't get much 'home with baby' time anyway...

Yeah, the contractions are about 20 mins apart all day everyday! Not very strong though except in the evenings. I had a sweep last Thursday and seeing the consultant on Wednesday so probably another one then! It's driving me bonkers lol!
Hope things get moving for you! When do you next see the midwife?0
