Argh! So MAD!
Hospital told me on Thursday that I would have to go back tomorrow to the diabetes clinic. I need more test strips, some blood tests, to see a dietician, and to see a consultant about the possibility of C-section, induction etc.
Immediately asked hubby to book time off, or swap a shift, so he could have DS. I can't bring DS with me as a) the hospital insists that children are accompanied by an adult (adult can not be the patient) and also, DS really doesn't like seeing me in hospital, he cries when I have a scan! He nearly had a fit when he saw them getting ready to take my blood.
OH didn't bother phoning on the Thursday, was so busy he forgot on Friday (despite having the time to text me to tell me he was too busy to ask!) forgot to phone on Saturday, and wouldn't phone in the evening (he works in a fu*king pub! It's not like they'll be closed at 6pm!)
And today his boss was off.
There's no-one else who can babysit for me, so now I can't go.
Really Fu*king helpful, OH. Tw*t.0 -
This is the swing chair we have got... i love the idea of the twinkling lights in the canopy, being able to play your own choice of music from MP3, and in the shop much prefered the swinging motion to the jiggly ones. I got ours second hand but almost brand new for well under half the retail price. V happy!

Hmmm seems i'm first up this morning - not good. I seem to have picked up a cold and feel like sh*ite.
Gillyx - Im the same with family visiting, my mum will have to fly over. She wanted to be here when baby was due but have managed to put her off until a couple of weeks after the due date. Told her that I would probably go overdue (i hope not!!) and if she came too soon she would have to go home before bubs was born. She is coming for a few days over xmas instead, hopefully bubs will be on time and we will have a couple of weeks before she visits.
Didn't think of stuff for OH in hospital bag - haven't got any of my stuff yet either. Will start thinking about it this week I think. My main aim this week is too decide on a cotbed and order it! Need to start decorating the nursery!
Hope everyone has a good day xDD born 14/12/11

missyyyyy dont worry as long as baby has something to eat, nappies, something to wear and somewhere to sleep everything else doesnt matter. I know its easier said than done but just relax and take it easy.***** on the road to debt freedom *****

Morning all.
Starting to feel like I've never slept in a bed. Tried on Sat night- gave up at 0230 as a bad idea. Quite sore now today, everything's aching! Feel like I've aged a few decades.
Last week of full shifts- next week I go onto 4 day weeks- so looking forward to it- Friday's are getting very tough now.
Missy, I've had loads of dreams, about everything from not being ready, to going into labour at a bad time or in a place where I can't get to a hospital..... You'll be fine. As long as baby's warm, fed, somewhere to sleep and has something to wear, you'll be just fine.0 -
Morning all,
Going to have a slow day today. Have a few bits and pieces of business work to do which I hope to finish before lunch then I'm going to potter in the horrifically minging kitchen for the afternoon. Oh how nice to potter :-)
Missy, I have had the most bizarre dreams. I personally think it's because I haven't slept deeply for over six months and that's why I'm aware I'm having them. They are really vivid and odd!
Bella - looks like things are starting to happen. You may not have a choice about the school run lol.
I'm more worried about the hospital visitors than anything else. When my SIL gave birth I felt so sorry for her at one point as her parents, my parents, my bro and me and hubby, as well as their two other kids, crammed into the tiny room together. Me and OH didn't realise it wasn't the thing to do, being the only baby we knew had been born, we thought we were obliged to go. Now, in retrospect, I can see how daft that was and will be most annoyed if our families do that when it's my turn. When my best friend gave borth, I made a point of staying away until they were ready and went over to their house to see them. Much better :-)0
