Just wondering, anyone else ridiculously thirsty in the evenings? Ive just noticed it this last week. I've been making sure i drink during the day, but come evening, i just seem to need even more! I guess its probably a mixture of the heat and being nearly 3rd tri and baby needing more fluids. Its annoying cos i know drinking loads late on, means i'm going to have to get up more to go to the loo in the night!
All my urine dips have been clear for sugar/insulin so far, so hoping its not a GTT symptom. Still, only got 9 days till my GTT, so guess i'll find out then.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

I'm constantly thirsty Kira, I'm probably drinking close to 9/10 pints of diluting juice a day, then water on top of that and decaff tea and coffee in the morning and evening  I can easily drink 2/3 pints of water at dinner alone! I did mention it to both midwife and GP and neither seem concerned and I've not even been invited for a GTT!The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Kira I drink loads on an evening too, and all my urine tests and bloods were fine. Or rather I'm assuming my 28 week bloods were fine as I haven't heard anything.
Loving the baby pics PP and AlisonAnyone still with euro Huggies coupons, I just noticed a thread in the Grabbit section where some Irish people are requesting them.
Thanks, I'll pop over there and see who wants them as I have loads to give away, been hanging on to them in case someone I know goes abroad and needs to buy nappiesBlue_Monkey wrote: »I've managed to be a blubbering hormonal mess today, got myself in a right weepy tizz earlier... I'm sure it's just being over-tired, over-hungry and over-hot, but I just couldn't get it together. I was looking forward to some lunch in the sun, then popping over to see my lovely friend and her 3 week old baby, but instead am laying on the bed with a bog roll and the laptop.
I'm a bit cross with myself for ruining the day and not making the most of the sunshine, but I'll put it down to being a bad day and hopefully tomorrow I'll feel more with it. Physically I'm finding pregnancy quite easy, which I'm grateful for, but I guess everything else (moving back from Aus, still not in our own place, stroppy boss, up at 5am yesterday then out at a party until 1am with no dinner) has just made me gruesome today.
Ah hope you're feeling better Blue? I have days like that where I just feel really flat and glum and can't be bothered with anyone, and it seems to come out of the blue.Uh oh think I've just upset my Dad, trying to explain why I don't want people visiting for a few weeks after baby is born. Now I know I sound unreasonable but I live far away from family, it's not possible to drive here for an over night or anything, you'd have to get a ferry or plane and it's for a few days at least. I just don't know if I'll feel up to entertaining people so soon after having the baby. Not that they'l be able to stay with us, they would be staying in a hotel, but I'd just feel "responsible" almost as there sole purpose of the trip is to visit me and baby, and if I've had a bad night or whatever, may not feel up to seeing them.
Am I being unreasonable? I feel awful now
I don't think you're being unreasonable, my OH is being very strict that only close family to visit for the first few days, if not weeks. I can see us needing to get lots of sleep and I know our parents and my sisters will sort themselves out with cuppas and biscuits etc when they visit rather than us having to run around after them. Besides OH only has 2 weeks paternity leave and will want to spend as much time with LO himself rather than run around after guests whilst they coo over the baby.
Woo hoo!! 30 weeks today, 32nd on the list after the boldies, and 35 working days left ........ not that I am counting or anything0 -
yep I too am super thirsty, but all my GTTs have come back fine.0

wonder womble someone on here said last week that asda will take the euro vouchers as they had bought the offer pack in the local asda store so might be worth a phonecall to see if they will still take themnow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -
Where have you been Wonder Womble? was thinking about you the other day, thought you'd disappeared on us!
See that's how I feel too, I want us to be a "family" on our ownPlus I'm the type of girl who's a tiny bit high maintenance and want to be at least presentable when people decide to pop round. I know we won't get this time again!

Mirror I have enough trouble getting my Asda to take the £ vouchers. Some cashiers really examine them like you're trying to rob them! I had 4 Huggies wipes vouchers the other day and bought 4 packs of Huggies wipes and she argued with me at the till that she couldn't take 4 vouchers even though I had bought 4 packs!
Gilly I was in Majorca for a week, it was lovelyComing back to a mini heatwave eased the pain of returning to work!

Gilly I am exactly the same as you, my family only live half an hour away but with both OHs and my family being divorced and remarried, the baby will have 4 sets of grand parents, most of which cant be in the same room together:eek: So am actually going to have to time table visiting times! And I always like to look half decent, (I know i'll have better things to worry about) but my mums the sort that would take great pleasure in seeing me looking unkempt and would assume and announce to the world that im not coping!! :mad:0 -
