Oh I like that Annabella, it's very colourful :D I'm trying to buy things like bouncers, chairs, baths, prams in unisex colours, just incase I feel the urge again :p

After everything.. OH has... suggested I dont get rid of the maternity stuff.... just not next year!!!! He has only had the non-hormone crazed me for 4 months in 2.5 years so needs a bit of stability... but would you credit it?! After the lack of interest and support for the whole 6 months he knew ;) he is already considering the long term option of another.. I know he wants a boy.. but it doesnt look promising after 2 girls and it would be a huge huge risk Id be taking.. wonder what he would do if I said a point blank no chance... I would also need to know he would step up and deal with all the stuff I couldnt and accept that I wouldnt be doing school runs, shopping, or anything else for a good 6 months!

the maternity stuff is going.. TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He has decided he likes me again now apparently (he hasnt said but actions speak volumes.. ) and I pointed out quite clearly in words of 1 syllable there would be no hanky-panky in our house until contraception has been sorted! there is no way I am risking another one now (or ever if I can help it!!!!!!!!).

This is the swing chair we have got... i love the idea of the twinkling lights in the canopy, being able to play your own choice of music from MP3, and in the shop much prefered the swinging motion to the jiggly ones. I got ours second hand but almost brand new for well under half the retail price. V happy!

 pigpen. Has he lost the plot????
Ive already decided to get the Marino coil. The helpful midwives suggested it when I said in hospital that I wasn't going to have any more children. I might have only been in labour 1 hour, but it isn't something I'm going to forget in a hurry.

BTW, I discovered that my nipples are too small for the breast pump. The medala swing thankfully sell 5 different sizes of funnel so I'm waiting for the smaller one to arrive. £10 for a piece of plastic, but it's useless to me otherwise. The OH suggested using callipers to measure my nipples but the diagrams on the medala website were enough to make me realise I needed something smaller. Bit ironic as I have 38G breasts at the moment :rotfl:
The badly fitting pump was affecting my flow, and made me think I had a low milk supply, when I don't. It was also hurting/damaging my nipples. The actual breastfeeding is going well but it is taking me a bit of getting used to!

How is the Medela Alison? I have enough Boots points to buy it, and was recommended to me by a health visitor friend, but it is expensive!

    Gorgeous Alison :D he's a wee cracker.

Uh oh think I've just upset my Dad, trying to explain why I don't want people visiting for a few weeks after baby is born. Now I know I sound unreasonable but I live far away from family, it's not possible to drive here for an over night or anything, you'd have to get a ferry or plane and it's for a few days at least. I just don't know if I'll feel up to entertaining people so soon after having the baby. Not that they'l be able to stay with us, they would be staying in a hotel, but I'd just feel "responsible" almost as there sole purpose of the trip is to visit me and baby, and if I've had a bad night or whatever, may not feel up to seeing them.

Am I being unreasonable? I feel awful now :(

Yeah I'm in the same situation. My mother would have been here for my due date and satyed for amonth if I'd let her. Midwife suggested that it is better to have visitors after a few weeks. My parents have booked to stay but have booked a hotel down the road. Means I don't have to worry as much so will take the pressure off me and OH a bit and hopefully BF and things will be established.

Alison baby is a real cutie, congrats.

It's good Gilly. I had the mini medela before, and it was good too. The swing has 2 phases. An expression phase to help the let down, and the normal pumping phase. It's supposed to be very efficient but I can't tell as it doesn't fit me at the moment. Will have the new funnel on Thursday so will let you know after that. I figured it was worth the money and the brother in law gave us £100 so that paid for it.

    Thanks mrs Knight :-)

    Hello everyone,

Gorgeous pictures pigpen and alison, and totally agree with you pigpen, is your OH crazy?! Is he going to miraculously turn into someone else?!

My god its hot!!! I have stayed inside all day, and stuffed myself with roses in between trying to nap and feel sorry for myself! OH went away again today, not back until 1st Nov,just need the baby to stay in til then, but I'm not due until 17th so we should be ok. Have put precautions in place though, crib is up and all put together, the car seat is in the car and bag is packed. Still need to clean the utility and find a place for the steraliser and warmer and new microwave, and still need to get some more blankets and a moses mattress.

Finding doing anything tiring, still need to sort out the spare room and write my OU assignment!

Oh I went to tesco yesterday, and I don't know if anyone is interested but fairy washing powder is half price £10 for 80washes.
