gees 37 after the bolides along with Delain and KeelyKat. it is moving quick that list  Im on sick at the moment and then holiday as of tomorrow and maternity leave as of next wednesday, the house is nice and tidy still so have just finished off the last of my christmas and birthday shopping. I still need to get DH a few more bits but other than that im done :j
my friend is coming down this weekend and we are hitting the baby shops and her and her hubby are going to do some more bits round the house for me so i cant wait as that means i will finally 4.5 months after moving in here have an organised tidy house where just about everything is put away properly
kinda hating the weather at the moment as its lovely for getting the washing done, but its so hot at night that ive had to dig the fan back out the cupboard as its so warm in my room.
still need to get a changing station and a cot bumper for the baby and decide on a chest of drawers and then im done as have everything we need.
right im off to get something to nibble on and get another load of washing out.0 -

Sorry to hear you didn't get the result you wanted today Kandboys
(((hugs))) hopefully the consultant will be a bit more helpful next week?
Jenjade, your work sounds like an absolute nightmare. Make sure you are documenting everything and try not to get to get too stressed. Don't forget you can self certify for 1 week before you need a certificate from your doctor and if when you go back to work they still haven't put in place the recommendations from your doctor there is nothing to stop you going off sick again if you need to.
Toniq, hope you are getting plenty of restI'm getting a bit of pain in my hips too at the moment. The midwife says it is where flump is pressing on a nerve. She just suggested paracetamol if I needed it and to bounce on my ball if possibleu
Lovecrafting, can't believe you still haven't had a scan! What will they do if it turns out to be twins?!?
Gilly, congratulations on team blue!! Try not to worry too much about tomorrow. From what you and others have said it sounds like there is every chance that baby is healthy and this is just a little variation in the measurements, especially as all the other measurements are ok. I'll be thinking about you tomorrow xxx
Phew, I think I have now caught up! Apologies to anyone who I may have missed!
9 days till my due date, single figures now, scary
I was at the doctors this morning for something to help will the constipation I am getting due to thus iron tablets. She has prescribed me some lactulose so hopefully that will help...
I have been so tired these last 2 days, all I have done is sleep and read. My mam thinks I have been overdoing things a little bit recently (lots of last minute shopping and cleaning going on, plus looking for a nice dress for Wednesday) and that my body is telling me to slow down. House is a tip downstairs, so many pots to do and the Hoover is looking at me all accusingly, hahaMy oh is off tomorrow and Saturday so he has told me to relax today and he will do it all tomorrow and I can help him if I feel up to it. I love that man!!
Hope everyone is having a lovely evening, it is a gorgeous evening here
Mancbird xxx
if it turns out to be twins then it turns out to be twins, she told me i cant have a home birth if it is, yeah ummm good luck with that because i am not going to burnley general and you cant make me love, it would be unfotunate if i happened to be just over the yorkshire border and ended up at the much nicer hospital 11 miles away, ohhh what a co insidence that would be.
well i am suposed to be packing for our weekend away but am having much more fun playing i am a robot and am looking for a h-a-t with dd3 (its a phonics game that helps them read apaently) i really should get on and get ready tho were going to scotland in like 3 hrs.0 -
Huge hugs Kandboys. Lets hope the consultant is more with it next week. I don't trust registrars at all, they never listen. Have you spoken to your midwife since the appointment? Might be worth giving her a ring and seeing if she can help with some extra pressure next week?
Thanks for all the show info ladies - I didn't have one with DS1 which is why I'm asking. Lirin - from what I've read you can have some sort of show at anytime in pregnancy but I would say definitely contact your midwife for advice if you have one at 31 weeks...0 -
Thanks Winnie. I texted her and told her the situation. She says of course I shouldn't attempt a VBAC if I don't want to. The Registrar and the midwife yesterday did understand where we were coming from. However, if I want a c-section it will have to be at 41 weeks as thems the rules basically. I think she knew she was annoying me as she did try and call the consultant but he was in 'emergency surgery'!! I thought yeah that's bound to be an emergency c-section for some poor woman who was made to VBAC when she should have had an elective. If a 41 week section is the best I can hope for then what can I do?
And they weren't concerned about his weight at all as it's following the growth line perfectly! Sorry but 7lb odd at 36 weeks is showing massive to me!!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -
I have never had a 7lb baby full stop so to me that seems huge, but i have never gone full term so i guess it will seem big to me.0
-
My DS1 was 7lb 13oz and DS2 9lb 12oz both nearly 2 weeks over. This one isn't measuring as big as DS2 did at 36 weeks but that's still big to me! I hate going overdue I really do when I feel so carp and have very painful SPD to boot. Consultants don't care though basically!!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0

Hi Ladies,
Just wondered if any of you had had or are going to have the flu jab? I am 9+3 and although nothing has been said by the midwife my OH got a letter through to have his flu jab (he is on immunosuppressants for Crohns) and it says on the list of people that should have one that pregnant people should. Also, does anyone know if there have been any studies to show if there are any affects on the baby?
Thank you :0)

7lb odd at 36 weeks is a big baby! I'd say that's a good 9lber at term and 10lb plus at 10 days over! What would happen if you started in labour spontaneously if you agreed to the 41 week elective? Would they operate straight away or would they make you attempt VBAC?0
-
im not having it, i think that if i am going to get the flu i am going to get it and the imunisation should go to people more in need of it, same with the swine flu jab, but its personal choice, alot of people think i am a bit mad because alot of the usual pregnancy things i am not having like the downs syndrome testing and other investigations because i feel i dont need to know because it will make no diffeence to how i feel about the baby and i had it with the others when they found a genetic problem with dd2 the offeed me a termination and i was so offended i couldnt have anything like that again. i couldnt imagine life without her, yes she is sick, yes she has issues but it dosent mean i wanted to put her down like a dog.0
